Description

Have you ever ridden the sonic waves of a vintage Fender blackface or Vox tremolo flowing like water from the speaker? Then you know that this kind of tone can make You feel like you’re sailing on a million dollar yacht. The tidewater tremolo faithfully recreates this beloved amp tremolo with a warmth and character you would only expect from a vintage amp. With simple controls and a small footprint, you’ll be sailing the high seas of tone with the tidewater tremolo. The controls are volume, mix and speed. The volume allows you to set the overall volume at unity, below unity, or above unity for a boosted tone. With the mix turned all the way down you can use the tidewater as a warm preamp boost. The mix knob controls the depth of the tremolo while the speed knob controls how fast The tremolo moves, indicated by the LED next to the speed knob. Inside the pedal on the back of the PCB there are three small dip-switches. When all three switches are in the down position, the range of speed available is faster. When all three switches are in the up position, the available range of speed is slower. When you want a simple amp- like tremolo that doesn’t take up much space, The tidewater tremolo is your vessel of choice. This pedal requires standard 9V DC negative power, consumes 3 ma, and measures 3.6"X1.5"X1".

  • It's a tremolo. It makes tremolo noises well.
Pattern Name: Pedal
I don't have any amps that have a built-in trem so I got this. It works really well and is adjustable to a wide range of tremolo sounds. I really like that it has a volume knob so you can fine tune it to equity gain or above or below or however you wish. It is a little more expensive than the Boss TR-2 but the quality and board footprint justify that price, in my opinion. It's also pretty common to have a TR-2 modded to bring the volume up and here it's already a pot, for less money than a new TR-2+mod. ... show more

  • Great sounding trem, but watch the input level
Pattern Name: Pedal
Got this because it was the only mini sized pedal I could find with a volume control. Very nice sounding overall and the adjustable dip switches inside are useful for getting a wide range of speed out of this thing. It has plenty of volume on tap, but you gotta watch your signal level going into it. If your incoming signal is too hot (like if you are using a keyboard with line level output or a guitar/bass with active pickups), the pedal will start to clip a little. Especially if you have the volume turned up. That’s my only concern, I like everything else about the Tidewater. ... show more

  • A good, solid pedal from an outstanding pedal maker
Pattern Name: Pedal
This is a great tremolo pedal, especially if you're new to the tremolo game or you simply like an easy to use pedal. Only 3 adjustments to tend with; speed, mix, and volume. If you like mini-sized pedals, you'll like it even more.

  • My first JHS pedal, and I love it
Pattern Name: Pedal
I've been watching JHS on YouTube and really wanted to try out some of his gear. I was going to get a Boss trem pedal but saw this was basically the same price so I went this way. The sound is great - I can dial in a whole range of tremolo to get it just like I want. Build quality is great. I'll be looking to expand my collection of pedals from JHS. ... show more

  • Good tremolo and a reasonable price
Pattern Name: Pedal
It's a solid little trem. Build quality is decent. Not on par with of the tankier pedal makers like boss, but solid enough. Sounds good, but it is a tremolo. So, keep in mind that the effect type isn't the most versatile, but a good pedal for what it is.

  • Not the same pedal as in the advertising picture.
Pattern Name: Pedal
Sounds great but the reason I am only giving 3 stars is because in a way it is false advertising. I was really disappointed because I was originally going to buy a used one but I couldn't find one with the second LED light. So I went ahead and spent the extra money on a brand new one because it shows the second LED in the picture. I received the pedal in the mail and the one they sent me only had one LED that shows speed of the trem. ... show more

  • Volume control makes all easy and pleasant
Pattern Name: Pedal
A very steady and practical pedal, just what i was looking for. Of course the shape is not adjustable and you get the impression that is pulses a lot, but all knobs are very workable with and the volume control is key to mantain the same level at all times. Coming from the pulsar ehx, it made my life easier and im not afraid of using tremolo even at the more dramatic settings and dropping volume. Koodos to jhs ... show more

  • Awesome little pedal.
Pattern Name: Pedal
Works great. The blend control gives you a lot of options to make this thing stand out or to just add a touch. Can be a very sudle effect to give your playing a little emotion or full on tremolo action
