I purchased this Jetson Prism All-Terrain Hoverboard last year and did not have a chance to try it out until now. The first unit I received was actually defective - something was loose inside and rattled when you shake it. When I turned it on, it could properly maintain its balance and was trembling when I tried to ride it and I almost fell down from it. I've contacted the manufacturer and they were quick to send a replacement unit, which worked fine this time around. Upon receiving the replacement Jetson Prism, I was impressed by its design, heavy-duty construction, and attention to detail. The LED light-up rims add a cool visual effect, making it an eye-catching ride. The build quality felt solid and sturdy, giving me confidence in its durability. It came partially charged, allowing me to take it out for a quick spin right away. The user manual provides clear instructions on calibrating the balance and getting familiar with the controls. After trying it out, I can say that Jetson Prism offers a smooth and responsive riding experience. The all-terrain tires perform admirably on various surfaces, including low grass, gravel, and sand. The active balance technology helps a lot to maintain stability in any situation, making it easier to ride on uneven surfaces, even when navigating between obstacles. I particularly enjoy the top speed of 7 mph, which adds a thrilling element to my rides. The LED light-up rims not only look cool but also enhance visibility during evening rides, ensuring safety. The controls are intuitive, allowing for quick acceleration, deceleration, and turning. The main drawback I encountered with Jetson Prism (besides the fact that the first unit was defective) is its limited range of up to 5 miles. While it was sufficient for short commutes or recreational rides, I wish it had a longer-lasting battery. Also, the hoverboard lacks Bluetooth connectivity and accompanying mobile app integration, which could have added more customization options and features. Overall, the Jetson Prism All-Terrain Hoverboard delivered on its promise of providing an exciting off-road riding experience. This is a great little hoverboard. We have had a number of Jetson products over the years and they seem to be solid and reliable. They are a nice contrast to the no-name brands that are on the market. This particular hoverboard is solidly built and I really like the Red color. I can't say that it really stands up to the description of saying the max weight is 220 lbs and that it has "All-Terrain Tires". At only 150-watt motors it is definitely best for flat ground and smooth sidewalks. If you are at about half of the weight limit I'm sure it has a lot of power but for anyone close to 200 lbs, I'd definitely look for something with more power and more flexible tires if you want to ride outside. Overall happy with the "Jetson Prism All-Terrain Hoverboard | All-Terrain Tires | LAVA LED Light-Up Rims| Top Speed of 7 mph | Range of Up to 5 Miles| Active Balance Technology" for children but for teens or adults, you'll want something more powerful. ... show more

This is a great hoverboard. I got it for my 13y/o granddaughter and she jumped right on it and took off. It helps that she practiced quite a bit on her cousins' boards before she got her own. Out of the box, this board has a VERY strong chemical smell, but it seemed to dissipate quickly. The board is also surprisingly heavy. It charges well, and runs smoothly. The color is not the bright fire engine red that it appears to be on the product page. It's more of a dull or subdued red. The rim lights are a pretty cool feature. There are two sets of lights on the top of the hoverboard. One set indicates the charging status. The other indicates the sync between the two sides. I got this for my 7 year old to learn with and it's good for beginners. I love it just as much and feel okay on it. It doesn't feel as though it will slip from under your feet very easily. It's well made and lots of fun!

Fun. I am 57 year old 150 lb man and found this board very easy to ride and steer around. I am having fun riding it. I gave 4 stars for durability since I had to return the first one that came broken. The service from Jetson was terrific. I let them know I received a broken unit, sent them a short video the board turned on, and they sent me a replacement right away via FedEx. Nice! ... show more

This Jetson Prism All-Terrain Hoverboard is a good beginner hoverboard, it offers just enough power and speed without being too crazy for newbie like myself! It is fun (and not going to lie, a bit scary), both hubby and I are having fun learning to get good at it. I like that it has a simple subtle design, so many hoverboards out there are just too blinky and colorful for my liking. I am no expert and I am still learning to use this properly. Great hoverboard. It’s My second board. I still don’t have great experience riding this around town. I also think that kind of thing is illegal. But this is great for riding around the house. It’s very responsive to my foot movements but not overly. Battery charged in the average time with no problems there. It’ll just notify me when it needs more charging.
