I have ordered these PVC clips several times, they are the best clamps I have ever used. They hold the greenhouse plastic on the PVC hoops perfectly. They do not break easily and are the perfect size. Excellent quality and am very happy that I have finally found the perfect clamps.

Overall these clamps are good—not perfect—and they serve their purpose of holding netting around our PVC garden bed frames to keep out pests and critters. These clamps are very easy to install and hold strong. They do their job well. For consideration, though: (1) they hold so tight it can be challenging to pull them off, and it’s quite annoying if you need to remove them frequently (e.g. to access your garden bed). But they do hold well, so critters stay out and there’s no slippage. (2) they’re pretty inflexible, and we’ve had a few crack and break after exposure to the elements of only 2-3 months. The broken pieces are quite sharp. (3) the edges are strait cut and, when combined with the hard brittle plastic material, create a sharp edge that may pull or tear your clamped material (e.g. netting, cloth). Minor annoyance to us, but worth noting.

The media could not be loaded. After building a frame from 3/4 inch PVC I noticed the advertised clips should fit perfectly. I attached the shade cloth by using the clips but wasn't sure if they would hold during fairly gusty winds. Well some were placed on vertical tubes and those didn't stay tight in the wind and actually flew over the fence. After evaluating I realized that by doubling the clips, one on top of the other they had the strength to hold the shade even during strong winds. So far I'm happy with the purchase although life expectancy is questionable.

I guess I should have read the description more thoroughly and realized the length of the clips are not what I expected. I have used these clips for a number of years to secure insect netting on pvc pipe that to cover a raised bed. These clips are too short. A good wind will pop them off the pvc pipe. The clips I normally use are much longer and I never had a problem with them popping off. These shorter clips work ok but just be aware, they'll pop off on a windy day.

These 1/2 inch clamps work very well for holding plastic to my (cold frame) greenhouse. You can easily remove the plastic for the next year. Some will break and they will get brittle with time but it's still a good option over other ideas. I had some very windy days and it held up for me. I haven't had much snow so I can't comment on that. I found another use for my needs. I have a watering system for one of my vegetable gardens. It's made of 1/2 inch PVC pipe that I drilled holes in to allow the water to get the base of my plants without wetting leaves and areas where the water is wasted. When I need to close the water on one or two plants on a specific line, I snap on a clamp to cover the hole. Just twist it and the water comes out again. Just wish they were a little less $$.

The 1/2 inch clamps are actually closer to 3/4 inch in diameter. I dont know if the wrong product was put in the box. The box itself was labeled 1/2 inch. I measured the diameter of my pvc pipe and it is exactly 1/2 inches on the exterior.
