Do not purchase any products from JC home. They claim that they do not sell any products on Amazon even though their contact info is listed for support. Chair stopped working less than a year and even though a 365 day warranty is listed they do not honor it.

    • Not as bulky as you might think
I have never gotten one of these before because of the size & weight. I was really quite shocked that this was actually smaller than you typical lazy boy. And yeah it's heavy, but actually lighter than expected - it's got a lot of gears and hydraulics down there, I was really expecting something quite a bit heavier. Set up takes minutes, there's not much that needs to be done. This is a fake leather finish - some fake leathers (like car seats these days) actually last longer than leather. But this fabric, I'm not so sure. I'm skeptical. I don't have high hopes for this lasting very long, I will be covering it as much as possible. I saw some reviews mentioning mechanical problems. I had none, but I do have a massage chair that's about 10 years old and some of the buttons and functions are starting to fail. Anything mechanical is going to eventually have problems. However, I will mention that this JC Home chair seems like it would be easy to work on. I promise you, if your item is having a mechanical problem, more than half the time it's a loose bolt or loose wire that can be easily remedied. And on this chair, just tilt it forward, look underneath, and most of the mechanisms are right there, easy to access. So I'm not too worried about mechanical problems. The star feature of this is of course the lift. It's slow and steady, easy to use. It's a sharp looking chair and doesn't look like medical equipment in your living room. Overall I didn't really know what to expect from a generic furniture company, but this was a pleasant surprise. ... show more

Not very happy with this purchase. It clunks (like it is catching on something) going up and also when going down, plus the heat doesn't work.

This chair just quit working. I have tried to trouble shoot with their guide, basically it says unplug and try again. I went to the website that says it is customer support, it is not it is a website to buy more furniture no place for customer support. I will try calling the number "during normal business hours" to see if I can get any help. ... show more

    • Very comfortable, massage is a nice feature!
We ordered this chair to replace another recliner that was falling apart. The setup was very easy and it only took a few minutes. This thing is HEAVY though, so get someone to help and be careful. The seat and fabric are very nice and comfortable. It looks like the pleather covering will be durable; but since we have cats and kids I always have a fabric cover on it anyway. Just to keep the chair nicer, longer. The massage function isn't super powerful, but it is still very nice to have as an option. It will be hard to not have this feature going forward in any other seats around the house. The power lift (or ejector seat as my kids like to call it) works well. It is steady and slow, and I think it would be ideal for elderly or arthritic folks to safely get up. Overall this chair is sturdy and nice. It feels well made and we are very happy to have found it. JC HOME Palomino Electric Power Lift Recliner Chair Sofa with 8 point Massage and Lumbar heating, Footrest Adjust We got this for our 80 year old grandma. it is well built. took us only a few minutes to assemble it. the only thing I had issues was there is a slight gap difference at the bottom of the back rest. otherwise. the message cycle and strength is very nice for the elderly. it is not too strong nor too soft for her. it can also rotate areas as well. the standing assist feature is nice to help her to get around when needed. I wish there is a way to know we have reached the seated position before it start to rise. but not a big deal as the movements are pretty slow. this is really nice for her. She has fallen asleep a few times on this chair, so I have to say this is nice chair. ;-) I would recommend this recliner. ... show more
