This is a fantastic headset. Battery life is top notch. Sound is very very good with a perfect level of bass. Bass hits the right amount for me. No distortion or dropping connectivity. The lights are really cool but I usually leave them off due to draining the battery more. There are no custom presets for console, they are only programmable for PC. On Xbox though I have the options of Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic and DTS since I bought the license so I am able to find the best option depending on the game I am playing. I was using the Audeze Penrose Before these and although their sound is unique the JBL blow them out of the water and don't have any popping or connection issues. These aren't the most comfortable headphones I've used but have no issues wearing these for 5-6 hour sessions and I am pretty sensitive to having stuff on my head. Overall very happy with these and would definitely buy again. UPDATE: Two years strong. With an updated PC app and robust sound tuning options or a console headset this is still amazing. I still use these all the time for gaming and I absolutely love them. Amazing for Warzone, I hear things my buddies don't, all the time while playing. I will definitely buy again or whatever upgraded version JBL releases. Still working great and they have gotten more comfortable with some wear. ... show more

By far the best gaming headset I've ever owned/tested/reviewed: •Astro A50 Mandalorian Edition - Mic Issues •RIG 800 - Battery Died •RIG 900 - Bluetooth added for 2x price •Steel Series Arctis 7x - No EQ tuning on Xbox •Steel Series Arctis 9 - No EQ tuning on Xbox •Turtle Beach 600 Gen 2 Max - Uncomfortable •Turtled Beach 700 Gen 2 Max - Uncomfortable + Bluetooth Comfort: 5/5 A lot of reviewers complain about the use of plastic on such a pricey headset, but the weight reduction is crucial for marathon gaming. Not sure what some people are doing with their headset, but basic attention and care will make these last for years. The ear cups may be stiff at first, but once they're broken in, I haven't run into any discomfort or fatigue. Just wanted to start out by saying how new I am to the headset life, never really opting to play with friends or communicate let alone ever thought about how important and defining Gaming Audio could be. Recently within the past year my close friend recommend I finally try getting myself a pair as we are keen on playing Call Of Duty. I went out to my local Walmart and found a pair of the Astro A10 Wired Headset and had been enjoying them aside from the small sizing. I wasn’t really in need of a new Mic/Headset although I wanted to dive into the wireless world and truly get a feel on the games audio and sound design that only a certain level of headset could provide. After some digging the JBL 910X caught my eye pretty quick as it is very colorful yet sleek. I ordered myself a pair after watching several video reviews on them and just wanted to come back to recommend anyone considering to pull the switch and buy. These are a great set to use for gaming and the quality feels amazing and comfortable even for long hours of gaming. It comes with audio control on the side of where headset to mix Party/In-Game Audio. 10/10 great buy. $150 on sale is insane so buy it quick. ... show more

As a Mother who is not using this product, I can't honestly speak on how well these JBL headphones perform, but I can speak on the excitement of my almost 16 yr old son! Prior, he used the STEEL SERIES. I can't remember the exact model but I know they were GREAT quality and lasted for about 6-7 yrs. They became a sad excuse to call headphones, with the rigorous gaming my son does. I wish it was less but as long as his grades are okay.. hey?! Anyway, his 1st remark about these were WOW.. they are so comfortable..and the sound is incredible. He said it might just be better than my Steel Series. I do want to say after a little bit more use he said the headset can start to feel heavy and start to hurt his ears. I don't know if he can adjust them or not. Either way, I think there are too many things to like about this headset, in addition to the incredible price point offered around the holidays. I mean we are not professional gamers over here, lol, so I think these are more than enough to get the job done. ... show more

4.5/5. This is a solid headset. In fact, it's the best headset I've owned. I refuse to get wired headsets because I made the switch to wireless years ago and it's tough to go back. If you're like me in that sense, this is a great choice. The padding is good quality and comfortable. The sound and bass is great for a gaming headset. The battery life is pretty good. Connects as soon as you turn it on. I've used headsets from several brands, and the only brand that comes close is Astros. Really my only complaint is the price, but we all know how messed up the headset market is. ... show more

Got it as a gift for my boyfriend. He says they work so well and are the best headphone set he’s ever had. The mic is awesome, never echo-y or hear anything in the background. Super easy to use and the battery lasts a long time. Highly recommend! Well worth the money.
