This is a pretty cool jacket. I've always been a fan of the letterman style. My only complaint is that the color is more purple than the pictures make it seem. I was a expecting a more dark/red burgundy color, but the purple wins out here. It's still a really nice jacket though and I recommend if you're also a fan of the letterman/varsity style.

This is a classic almost-vintage styled varsity jacket, with "leather" sleeves paired with a fleece body. The overall effect is a bit more casual than many bomber jackets because of the fleece material paired with pleather - this doesn't quite look its retail price in person due to the material choices, but that also dresses it down a bit and gives it more versatility. Overall, I'm not mad at it. I found the sizing to be exactly true to size and I like the fit a lot. It's tall enough for me at 6'2" without having overly long sleeves, and it hits me exactly where I want a jacket to slightly below waist level. You can definitely tell the name-brand experience in sizing. You can definitely also tell the name brand from the branding - there are several very visible Champion logos throughout the jacket. It's not a problem and it's not a brand to be ashamed of, and if you're a streetwear fiend you might really love that, but for me I wish they'd kept it a little more subtle. Another reviewer expressed concerns about quality and, fortunately, I haven't had the same experience - everything arrived well sewn and assembled and made from good materials. I have no doubt this will last as long as the actual fabrics do. The contrasting colors do work in person, but the burgundy/black combination is a bold statement. If you're looking for something a bit more understated, you might prefer the black/black version...

The faux leather sleeves have a timeless appeal that reminds me of classic vintage varsity jackets, while still looking fresh and modern. The fit is perfect. The fabric provides warmth without being too bulky. I really like the ribbed cuffs and hem. The Champion brand is synonymous with quality, and this jacket delivers as expected !!

Champion's Letterman Bomber is very nicely made from high quality materials. The wool blend exterior is soft and cozy feeling. The faux leather sleeves are supple and a good imitation of real leather. The interior is finished in a quilted satin-like fabric. The zippers are snaps are robust and smooth feeling. The buttons and zippers also have Champion logos on them, which is a nice touch. Speaking of the Champion logo there is one subtle embroidered logo on the chest of the jacket and a small patch on the sleeve. The color scheme of this jacket is beautiful. The deep burgundy wool mixed with the almost black sleeves is a beautiful and classy mix. The jacket fits me perfectly in a size small as a 5'6" and 135 pound male. It is roomy, but not sloppy. I can wear a heavy shirt underneath the jacket without feeling bunched up. The jacket is excellent for cool fall and spring days. It moves nicely, feels cozy, and breathes well. All in all... a great jacket.

I’m very partial to darker tones in my clothes and this jacket is perfect. The dark maroon is gorgeous and compliments the black really well. The jacket I ordered was in an extra large and it fit me perfectly. We haven’t had much cold weather but I lobe taking this to work. It really tones down my dressy work for clothes and adds a really nice stylish flair. This is a very well made jacket and really liked Champion’s attention to details. The sleeves are also very comfortable. I firmly believe this is a great purchase. This jacket is built to last.

I really wanted this varsity jacket. I liked the color combination and discreet branding. Sadly the quality isn't great. The shape and fit of this is perfect for me. I ordered a large. For reference I am 6 feet with a 42 inch chest and 32 inch waist. This fits me well but is slim fitting. If you are looking for a larger fit I would suggest going up a size. The fake leather sleeves looks great, from a distance they look real leather and actually feel close to leather. The quality on mine is poor. There are a couple of white marks (like paint) on the left of the chest, and one of the sleeves has a deep scratch. The woolen type material of the torso feels quite cheap and while trying to rub off the white marks the material looked like it was about to start pilling. Maybe it is just a flaw in my jacket but I am somewhat disappointed in the quality, even though it's not that expensive an item.
