Another phenomenal product from JBL. I purchased two of these Encore Essential 2's and play them in stereo pair. I had debated whether or not to purchase the new Boombox 4, but decided on these Party Box Encore Essential 2's as they were a much better value for the price and more capable with larger, ported woofer size (vs. sealed radiators with the BB4). They offer rich, balanced sound. The bass is where the Party Box speakers shine, with the Essential 2's offering deep relaxed bass even at low volumes with the option for normal, deep or punchy bass settings. The biggest plus is that I can separate the two speakers for a wide sound stage and let me tell you, for this reason alone it does not disappoint. Talk about lifelike sound! I purchased two Party Box 320's last year and while they do sound amazing, they are a pain to lug around for the size and weight. I wanted something more portable and these Encore Essential 2's fit the bill without sacrificing much capability. These little Essential 2's are very portable and light only weighing approx 10 lbs each and and yet they still offer very capable sound. I am not disappointed. While the battery is not as easy to replace as the proper Encore 2, the Encore Essential 2 does have an internal battery that can be replaced with a little time and patience and I think the replacement batteries are much cheaper than the cartridge style batteries that many of the JBL products now offer. The only downside I'd like to point out is that the volume control is not very granular, as in the steps between lower volume notches are too steep. Not a deal breaker, but maybe an improvement for future models. If you are interested in getting an idea of how well these speakers perform, find a decent pair of IEM's and check YouTube for reviews. That's actually how I deliberated my purchase decision. Overall I am very satisfied and a JBL fan for life! ... show more

This speaker packs a big punch. I love this PartyBox. It's so easy to use. The app gives you so many options like if you want the bass deep or punchy, or color options. The sound is great. We use it in the backyard and it does great to drown out sounds like your neighbors lawnmower or even their music. I even walked away from the speaker to see what my neighbors might be hearing and was impressed as to how loud the speaker could be. Of course we don't have it that loud. Medium volume does the trick for us. The battery last a long time. I love the fact I can link it to my TV through Bluetooth. The box is lite and easy to move from location to location. I'm trying to convince my wife to buy another for that stereo sound. ... show more

If you want a portable Bluetooth speaker with crazy awesome bass then you have found it! I use this outside on my cement patio and you can feel the bass vibrating through the concrete. The app is pretty nice too, you can adjust all the settings for the speaker and the lights. The strobing white light on it was annoying so I turned that off in the app. 100% would recommend this speaker. I love it! ... show more

I am a 50 year old basshead. I have a Party Box 310 also and all I will say is this thing is impressive for such a small package. Very clean sounding like all JBL speakers that have some size. It's right up there with the 310 but super light easy to carry. JBL knows what they are doing now with AI intelligence. BRAVO ... show more

This thing is a beast. Honestly best bluetooth speaker ive ever seen. Battery lasts a while, good 5-8 hours on 60-80% volume. Its actually got more bass than you would think. I have a hug surround set up with 3 12" subs, 6 mid range speakers, few tweeters. And honestly, this speaker is not as loud at all or even close in base, but the quality is so good, I usually play music on this speaker over my surround sound system. ... show more

This speaker has a great sound. Love that there’s different bass options. It gets super loud, without distortion. When fully charged this thing lasts a long time. I fell like it was a good value for the money. I also love that it’s a big sound in a small package, making it easy to haul around.

Sounds amazing but 15 hours a bit of a stretch. With the bass boost and volume at about 30% with no lights on 5 hours in and battery is at 45%. . .other than that battery issue its exceptional 👌🏾
