I was shopping for a bigger Bluetooth speaker and came upon the Partybox series from JBL. They're all rather pricy, but I discovered this refurbished version of their Partybox 100 at a more affordable price. It did not disappoint. I love the sound, the base is very good, especially if you position the speaker up against a wall, but not too close. Sure, if you can afford to pay more, go for the 110, or 310, or even the 710. The jbl party box 100 has some great sound for the price. You have 2 levels of bass boost and both sound great depending on the type of music you're listening to. The lights are a fun addition to the speaker but get old after a while since you only have 3 different styles to change to. The battery is good as long as leave the bass boost off, but if you decide to turn it on you'll end up wanting to plug it in. Which isn't a bad thing since the wattage goes up to 160 watts but only 100 when running off the battery. My purchase said it was a refurbished product but it came in its original box with everything wrapped like it was brand new. Not disappointed at all. The box it came in was huge ,,the speaker is up to your knee ,,my frien brought one to a party and it's great ..paired to my phone easy and the volume is super loud and I can control it from my phone and the speaker .

Shop speakers in 30 X 40 garage. All i can say is wow! Crispy clean sound with plenty of bass. I listen to variety of music from hip-hop, modern country, top 40, 80’s, to hard pounding dance & yes Rap. These speakers do the trick and gives a full sound from all angles in the garage. Of course I bought two and linked them. These are reconditioned but look brand new and packed in their original boxing that also looks brand new. Worth every penny and the guys lovem! The lights are an added bonus. Has 3 bass settings but sound never seems to get muddled even at full volume. However at full volume which is more than enough for my garage the treble is pretty piercing on certain songs but truly Impressive sound quality in my opinion. On scale 1-10 (10 is best) Loudness 9 sound quality 10 Bass settings 9.5 value (especially for reconditioned). Flippin 11! ... show more

So far very happy. Seriously thinking about purchasing a second one so I can utilize the stereo sound. Bought this because I am phasing out my living room receiver. I did the surroundsound thing with all the speakers for the television years ago and found myself not really using it that much and the fact all the space it takes up and wires everywhere. In a digital age this just makes sense. Other than power cord completely wireless sound quality is what one would expect from JBL unit is portable. But not extremely. I wouldn’t recommend this for a work radio and I definitely don’t think I would take it to the beach. Although it would probably do well I would just worry about sand and dirt. However if you were having a backyard get together and want some quality sounds in your yard very simple for moving around the house. I have a very small workout room and sometimes I’ll take the speaker in there to listen to. Speaker volume is definitely louder when it’s plugged in. And I do wish they offered an app or a simple remote just to turn unit on and off. I use this with my smart phone. But I also use it with my home PC. Switching back-and-forth with multiple Bluetooth devices. Would be nice to be sitting in the chair and simply turn it on with the remote when I need it. But it’s not really a dealbreaker. I want to figure out a way to be able to easily sync up with my television. ... show more

When I purchase this speaker my thoughts was probably will be louder than charge 3 but didn’t realize it will be other level of sound.Surprisedly it’s much better than I expected and with lights are really awesome.For price you pay it’s no way anyone will go wrong to upgrade from smaller flip ,charge and similar portable speakers.
