  • Recommend for highs and mids
Style: 4-Channel Amplifier
Bought it to pair with the gx602 6” in 4 doors. Works brilliantly. The installer, was asked by several people what he was installing while he was working on my ride because they were so impressed with the sound quality at high levels. It’s beasty, not as bass-y as I’d like it to be but I can’t judge that 100% since I’m still using the stock head unit. ... show more

I purchased this amp to upgrade my stock stereo in my 2017 Chevy Cruze. My car doesn't have the premium audio system so I purchased a set of 6x9 speakers along with a replacement rear deck with speaker openings. I tapped into the rear door speaker wires and installed this amp to power the 6x9's. This amp is amazing! It has plenty of power and no distortion at high volume levels. I recommend this amp. ... show more

  • Greatly improves audio quality and depth
I was originally worried that this would only allow me to play my music louder, but it actually makes it sounds much, much more full. I have this wired to a cheap kenwood head unit and 2 cheap kenwood 6x9 speakers, but it still hits. I am very impressed with the build quality, especially for being on the budget end. ... show more

  • "Medical grade" amplifier with one flaw
Style: 4-Channel Amplifier
I'm not a big car audio guy but I am a musician with years of professional time either behind the mic or behind the board. I had to do a makeover of the factory jbl system in my Toyota and I hated to tackle it. A guy in his garage will be far pressed to outdo the engineering teams at the factory. Even if one gets the freq response balanced, the challenge of doing it with minimal use of eq adjustments (they introduce distortion at the lp/hp frequency of the selected band) is hard. In addition, forget about preserving the image of a well-designed system. My jbl-integration failed after the stupid PAC converter gave up and so I figured I'd go here. 4 matched jbl components front and rear, alpine HU, and this amp. No subs. Amp seems medical grade. It's better built than the jbl speakers are (speaker assembly was a bit of a disappointment but still sound good) and it's clean. It pushes the 6.5's effortlessly, is clean, doesn't seem to color the sound, and controls cone movements accurately. The s/n ratio was a little low compared to some of the others but if there is noise I can't hear it. It is a little large to shoehorn into some spaces but class AB would be. Very happy. UPDATE: found a flaw: I kept noticing that I one speaker (left front) was always louder than the rest. I ended up sending a test tone through the amp and 200hz and measuring each output with an ac voltmeter. The left front channel on my amp is always higher by 5-10% unless I keep the sensitivity adjustment down all the way towards 4v. It's a bit of a pain because it's noticeable and there's no per-channel adjustment. The rear channel is balanced left to right. ... show more

  • I wouldn't buy again
Style: 1-Channel Amplifier
Haven't had it for very long but so far it's a beast of a little amp Update- amp powers on but immediately goes into protect mode whenever the bass tries to hit. Jbl text support said that there was an internal issue with the amp. Returning with Amazon for a replacemwnt. Hopefully it's an isolated issue. Changing to 4 stars as a result. Will update once replaced. Update: unit replaced, same exact issue. All wiring replaced start to finish. Unsure if amp is just a dud or what the deal is. Downgrade to 1 star. If I find out its another issue, will update again. Update: amp was not the issue, sub was. Replaced sub, and amp is working like a champ! Update: Amp crapped out on me. I will not be purchasing another jbl amp. ... show more

  • Worked for 10 minutes and then quit
Style: 4-Channel Amplifier
Bought the amp to power 4 8 inch kicker speakers. After hooking everything up it played great for about 10 minutes and then the front channels went out. Sent it back the next day and still haven’t decided if I want to go with another jbl amp. Disappointed because everything jbl that I have ever had has worked and sounded great. Hopefully it was just a dud amp. ... show more
