    • A Great, No-Brainer Upgrade
I drive a 2010 Toyota Corolla with a basic 4 speaker setup. With front speakers positioned near your feet, the stock sound stage is horrendous. As the car is also incredibly loud at freeway speeds, I find myself cranking the volume way up in order to hear the music over the road noise. This is very fatiguing on long rides. By simply installing tweeters in the sail panels, the sound stage is significantly improved. I am able to hear frequencies that I could not hear before with the stock speakers. Sounds are more clear and distinct. I also find that I am able to use a considerably lower volume under all driving conditions in order to hear the music. This means both better sound quality AND comfort. For such a low price, this is a no-brainer investment towards improving the comfort and quality of any 4-speaker car. HIGHLY recommended. Note: These tweeters are much more sensitive than the stock paper speakers in my car. So much so that I had to crank the treble down several notches (-3 on the stock receiver) to balance them out with the stock speakers. It would be worth considering to upgrade the stock speakers to match, but not required. ... show more

    • Do it right, and you'll love them
The package comes with various kinds of mounting fixtures which may or may NOT be necessary for your car. I have a KIA Soul and it took me a while before I realized that I could use exactly what the old speakers left behind after removal. However, you do have to thread the wires carefully and I recommend making use of any harness left behind if you can. Some may disagree, but it worked for me. If you're connecting in the same way as the old speakers were connected, chances are the crossover is already in place. If you're doing this yourself, you should at least be able to distinguish between an in-line crossover and a wiring harness. (The former is somewhat larger.) As I recall, these JBL speakers do NOT have a built-in crossover; they are supplied separately in the package. After all was said and done, the difference was dramatic! All the treble and clarity missing before was suddenly readily apparent, even without changing the tone settings. Now the other 2 pairs of factory speakers can provide the mid-range and bass and the overall result is very nice! ... show more

    • Turn the treble down. These tweeters rock.
I replaced one so far, will replace the other later. All I can say is, so far it is soooooo much better than the stock tweeter that was in my Nissan Frontier. Before I tried everything I could do to raise the treble sound in my truck. No luck. I put one of these in and now I am doing whatever I can to lower the treble in my truck. Can't wait to put the other in. Buy them. They are worth it and they have their own high pass filter. Or is it a crossover? No matter. It is used to prevent your tweeters from being blown. The only negative and I think this is with all Nissan Frontiers, the mounting hardware did not work per se for my truck, lol. Had to rig it. Jam the mount in the hole, silcon the tweeter to the mount and the silicon the ends of the mount. And you are probably thinking that is shoddy work. Doesn't matter, its all under a speaker cover. As long as the tweeter doesn't move around, I'm happy. ... show more

    • Poor quality
I bought this item for my Jeep. Amazon stated it would fit my vehicle. That was not the case. Instead of returning it I figure I’d mount these in the factory harness. It ended up working out and looked pretty decent considering. The sound quality of these are trash. After soldering these to the factory harness I have used them for less than 32 hours and the front left tweeter began to rattle followed by the front right tweeter. Keep in mind everything is OEM with the exception of the speakers. These tweeters were not “swamped” or over powered. I would not recommend these for purchase. ... show more

So, I bought a Milwaukee M18 jobsite radio. The "premium speakers" were junk made by some company called Hon Son. Premium is a subjective term. I changed out the four inch with much better JBLs for a great improvement in sound. But it wasn't done until I ordered these little guys. Pulling out the Hon Son tweeters I saw they were a whopping 3 watts! Why would you even bother? These JBL tweeters made a gigantic improvement in the sound quality of this radio. Had no idea you could get that much out of something that small. :) ... show more

    • Crisp, clear, loud and not harsh
Excellent tweeters. Used in dash of my 2016 Kia Forte to replace OEM tweeters. Much louder and more clear crisp highs. Have on aftermarket Joying Android head unit 50X4bandbthis is plenty of power. Sound great and not "harsh" what so ever. Nothing but clear highs and treble. Has multiple mounting brackets so you can easily mount anywhere. Has an online/external crossover that's bigger but not bulky and easily hidden. I went with JBL because they never let me down...again this was the case. Exceeded my expectations since there is much pricier options. Very pleased with sound quality and all the mounting options. Can't beat these! ... show more
