If you're looking for a really good small compact speaker, this is your go to speaker. This bad boy can be easily griped in a normal sized hand and will blow your mind with the amazing audio output. It's has about 12 hours of playtime plus about an additional 2 more hours from a feature it has built in that's controlled by the JBL app. The Grip speaker is also waterproof and dust proof so that's a great feature also to have for a speaker with powerful audio output. This speaker is great for anywhere and everywhere you would love to listen to your music, you can use it at home, take it to work, take it to the park, take it to the beach, take it camping, take it on the boat, take it on a cruise. you can take it here, you can take it there, you can take it everywhere. JBL also has a cool app you can pair with the speaker to change the color of the light, change what the light does which is a few different movements the light can do and the brightness level of the light. You can also change the equalizer of the audio output within the JBL app also which is a cool feature so you can change how the music sounds if you would like to. I would recommend the JBL grip to anyone and everyone would like a small portable speaker that has a powerful punch, when it comes to the audio level for its size and portability and the amount of time it will run off of one charge up. ... show more

I am consistently impressed with how much quality sound JBL can pack into such a small speaker, and this new Grip model is a fantastic example. The sound is GREAT for its compact size, making it a super versatile speaker for all sorts of uses. ✨ The audio quality is the main highlight, delivering that bold JBL Pro Sound that easily fills a room or outdoor space. But what makes it so useful is its go anywhere toughness. It has an IP68 rating, meaning it's fully water proof, dust proof, and drop proof. This makes it the perfect companion for taking on hikes, to the beach, by the pool, or just for working in the garage. ➡️ The technology inside is also top notch. The battery life is excellent, easily lasting as long as I need it to, and the Bluetooth range is solid. I really appreciate that it is Auracast compatible, which is a great modern feature that makes creating a multi speaker setup incredibly easy. The little ambient light feature is a nice bonus as well. ***The Verdict*** This is a small speaker that punches way above its weight class. I am absolutely thrilled with this JBL Grip speaker. The sound quality is incredible for such a compact device. It delivers that signature Bold JBL Pro Sound that really fills a room without any distortion. The bass is surprisingly deep and the highs are crisp and clear. I was looking for something portable but not a tiny mini speaker, and this is the perfect size. It's bigger than my hand but still easily fits in my bag without taking up too much space or feeling bulky. The dark blue color I got is beautiful—it's a deep, rich blue that looks very sleek and modern. Setting it up was a breeze. It connected to my phone instantly, and the Bluetooth connection has been stable with no dropouts. The ambient light feature is a fantastic bonus. It's a subtle touch that adds to the overall experience and makes it great for setting a mood. The media could not be loaded. Excellent sound. Like the light on the side. Perfect size. Just got it today so I haven’t had a chance to test how long the battery lasts. I am disappointed that it doesn’t come with a charger. For the price, a charger should come standard. I have the JBL clip and love that one, too. (The clip came with a charger.) ... show more

Typical JBL, does not disappoint. Sounds great. Very portable, light weight and compact size with big sound. Easily fills a room with music. Has some bass to it as im listening to rock (slipknot) music right now. We travel a lot with the kids. Weekends camping or in cabins, hiking trips this is the perfect size for traveling. The jbl charge 5 is my usual go to but this will be nice addition! I listen to a lot of music i have high end headphones fed by tube amps or stereo receiver and mostly use my jbl earbuds, jbl headphones or my charge 5. ease of use and really good sound quality keeps me happy. Its always clean and clear mids and highs with solid bass no matter what type of music you play through them. We are a JBL family and appreciate the sound quality. If I could give these 10 stars I would. The clarity and sound of this little speak is amazing. You would think it was a much bigger speaker than what it is. It definitely packs a punch when it comes to volume. This is the perfect size for carrying with you to the lake or outside working in the yard. This little speaker is more on the portability side even against the flip 7. But even in such a smaller size the sound still sounds great. The light feature on this is very cool gives off cool vibes when listening to music. I finally got to use the aura cast as well with my flip 7 and it works great together with other compatible devices. It’s not as rugged as the flip series so maybe don’t take it on those crazy adventures but for casual listening on the go you can’t go wrong with the price and the product. ... show more
