Let me start by saying that I am an audiophile, especially 2 channel. My go to speakers are Klipsch not the ones that rhyme with Rose. They are for popularity purposes and don’t sound good. With that said Klipsch does not make boat speakers and I have had JBL boat speakers for EVER, on our third boat, changed them all out for JBL. They sound great and are durable and MB’s are junk..they get hot and burn out. Wanted a good Bluetooth awhile back and went with a JBL Charge 3 in 2017. Wasn’t impressed with the Klipsch Bluetooth then. Well our Charge 3 just quit. Pretty good run. Could have changed out the battery I guess but decided to upgrade. It was a no brainer going with JBL again. Very reliable product. Decided to go bigger with the Boombox 2. Purchased on 2/10/24 and received on 2/11/24. We like to use this on the beach, dinghy, boat, all places. I must say after listening to the Boombox we might get kicked off the beach! Wow! Impressive sound! Don’t listen to others who are not audiophiles. I saw other posts about downloading the JBL app for improving sound with an equalizer….meh. We use Spotify which also has an equalizer…it does, look it up. Much better. Anyway…only had for one day but can’t wait for this summer!! ... show more

I’ve had the JBL Charge 4 for 2 years and that little speaker packs a huge punch. But it was getting tired of 100% volume for 8 hours every day. So I opted for this monstrosity, got it for $250 on sale, and I’ve been playing it at 80% volume for 8 hours a day for about 5 months now. I love it, I’d highly recommend this to anyone who doesn’t mind the large size and heaviness. I personally don’t mind that part. The bass is unreal even at full volume. Any song I play on the boombox sounds better than the $600 sound system in my truck with doors closed! Battery lasts about 12 hours at near full volume, that’s a win for me. This could be used as a weapon if needed, as it would seriously hurt if swung at someone because it’s 40 pounds. I absolutely can’t say enough good things about this speaker. The only downside is if you have other JBL speakers, check the Bluetooth adaptability because it does NOT pair with my Charge 4. It would be nice if I could leave one inside and one outside, but it’s not the end of the world because I can hear the Boombox all across my 4000sqft work between walls and closed doors. I rarely ever, ever, ever, leave a review. This JBL honestly was beyond worth it and exceeded my expectations. You will have to download the app to utilize the equalizer; however, you must adjust the equalizer on your phone first, and then the application of music you're using: Amazon, Panora, Spotify, etc. Once you have that all set then you can adjust the bass, mids, and treble as "overall" adjustments through the app on your phone (JBL). It is beyond well worth the money. Super easy to set up, duper light, and way too darn loud...lol...Love this product and have always respected this brand JBL/Harman. ... show more

Searched for a bigger speaker forever. Decided on this one. I absolutely love it. I've chucked it 20ft into a lake, jumped in a pool and hot tub with it and it works like new. Very loud and great deep bass indoors. Go with this. You won't regret it

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it! I think it's a bit heavy for my liking but I will agree the sound is amazing! Was worried at first because I didn't buy the boombox 3 which is the newest, but even at half volume we got plenty of sound and bass and am glad I saved the money and stuck with the 2! ... show more
