Description
Real surround sound shouldn't require a weekend of cable management and a diagram. With the JBL Bar 700MK2, easy setup means you just lift the detachable wireless speakers off either end of the soundbar—one hand is all it takes—and place them behind you. Suddenly, you're in the middle of the action. No extra wires, no power connections, and when the night's over, set them back on the bar to charge. Once they're placed, the experience opens up fast. MultiBeam 3.0 fills the room with a wide, cinema-like soundstage, while Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X deliver immersive audio that moves around you—not just in front of you. At 780 watts of total system power, the 10" wireless subwoofer hits with the kind of deep, thundering bass that makes a climactic scene feel genuinely cinematic. And PureVoice 2.0 keeps dialogue locked in and clear, so you're never rewinding to catch a whispered plot twist. Got a big game on and hot wings to make? Grab one of the detachable speakers on your way to the kitchen—the wireless surround sound experience travels with you. Stream via Spotify Connect, AirPlay, or Google Cast, and this home theater sound system works seamlessly with your setup, however you've built it. With the JBL Bar 700MK2, your living room becomes the best seat in the house.

Great alternative surround solution
Set name: Soundbar System
Amazing sound quality and convenience! I’ve had full surround sound set ups for years and this soundbar with detachable surround speakers is a great alternative solution for surround sound. No hassle with wires. Charges quick put back on the main speaker and the charge lasts days with fairly consistent use. Definitely worth it you don’t want to go all in with the expenses multi piece set ups. Highly recommend!

The only review needed
Set name: Soundbar System
I almost sent it back because I felt there was a mismatch of too much deep bass and not enough mid bass, but decided to give it a full 30 day trial. It grew on me, and I like it now. It lacks lower mid bass, has great highs and deep bass. The detachable speakers is a really clever thing that almost cannot be beaten. In terms of surround mode, I’d give it a B-, but it allows other modes that make the surround sound function in a more useful way all in stereo mode, for parties, etc. Sound quality is about a 88 out of 100, but the detachable speakers give it a 5 point boost for ultra convenient emersion. You can setup cordless speakers all over your house for a true house party effect. Compared to other expensive soundbar options like a sonos, a bose, or a traditional receiver with speakers, this thing is darn hard to beat for the money and convenience. It takes some time to adjust the app equalizer to settings that you like. I find that turning the sub bass down about 65-75% seems to balance it out enough that I get low volume deep sub bass and adequate mid bass. It is also critical to know the volume paired instantly to my tv remote, which would have been a dealbreaker for me if it didn’t. The wireless detachable speakers is not a small benefit. It is so key that I think all soundbars will be expected to offer this feature in the future.

Great sound
Set name: Soundbar System
Sound is amazing for the price. Battery life on rear speakers is low, only reason for 4 versus 5 stars

JBL Bar 700MK2-7.1 Channel soundbar System - great performance and value
Set name: Soundbar System
The JBL Bar 700MK2-7.1 Channel soundbar System replaced an older Sony soundbar. What an amazing difference! The rechargeable, detachable rear speakers are awesome. It was extremely easy to set up and easy to use with the remote and the JBL app. The streaming capability was something I didn't know I was missing. We have a Bluetooth turntable, and multiple iPhones. The integration was seamless. Just put one of our favorite records on the turntable and the JBL soundbar powers itself on. The Adaptive Voice feature helps me understand dialog quite a bit. I almost went with a Bose system but after reading the reviews, I am impressed with my JBL system. I can see why the reviews were so much better than the Bose system.

JBL Bar 700MK2-7.1 Channel Soundbar System
Set name: Soundbar System
This is by far one of the best sounding systems I have ever purchased. The bass from the subwoofer and the clarity from the soundbar is unmatched. This is definitely a keeper. I love the detachable rechargeable surround sound speakers. You can place them anywhere in the room without having to run power to them. I placed them on speaker stands behind my power recliners, which has a power outlet right behind them. I keep them plugged in with a USBC power cord that I purchased to keep them from having to be attached to the soundbar or removing them from where they are placed to charge them. No cords can be seen because my speaker stands have wire channels to run the wires through. The cord that is left over that runs out the bottom of the speaker stands can't be seen. Also, connecting to my HDMI E-arc was seamless along with subwoofer connection. As soon as I plugged in the soundbar and subwoofer it was an instant connection. I will definitely be enjoying this system. Money well spent!!!
