I’ve had many soundbars through the years, and I’ve never had a true surround sound until now. Would buy it again. Back speakers can be plugged in via usb-c cord, never requiring a recharge. Syncs instantly with my Sony tv, especially if you use the Arc-hdmi plug.

Setup & Use Setup was incredibly easy—almost too easy. It connected to a few devices without me even asking, which could be a privacy concern. The companion app isn’t required; I’ve been using AirPlay directly and it works flawlessly. Wireless detachable speakers are a nice touch, except you have to use the app to enable them and that requires turning location services on which are normally off for me. Size & Packaging The subwoofer is massive, nearly as big as a Coway air purifier, and the system came in an oversized box that was awkward to manage. It definitely requires dedicated floor space. Sound Quality For music, the mids and highs aren’t as polished compared to older Apple HomePods, though the bass is extremely strong—sometimes too strong, overshadowing vocals and instruments. It’s immersive for movies and action scenes but less balanced for everyday music listening. Power Consumption One thing I noticed is how much power it uses—the draw is comparable to a microwave. This is something to consider if you’re energy-conscious or plan to run it for hours daily. Pros • Very easy setup • AirPlay works without the app • Deep, cinema-like bass • Detachable surround speakers for flexibility Cons • Bass can overwhelm mids and treble • Auto-connects devices without asking • Extremely bulky subwoofer • Uses a lot of power (like a microwave) • Oversized shipping box Value Going Forward If you want a home theater system that prioritizes big bass and easy connectivity, this works well. But the size, power draw, and sound balance may not suit everyone—especially if you’re more of a music listener than a movie watcher.     • No compromise in sound quality

For many years, I have had a clunky receiver with five wired speakers and a wired subwoofer in my living room. It has served me well, but I was interested in trying to minimize the wires and the components, so I thought I would try this system. Wow! I thought I would be seeing some sort of compromise in sound quality, but it couldn't be further from the truth. This sounds bar works great for TV, movies, sports, and listening to music. It really fills the room with sound. The detachable, wireless rear speakers were the real deciding point for me. I love having the surround sound speakers for sports and movies, but usually I don't really notice or care that they're there. So now I can pop them off the soundbar and set them up behind me when I want them, and stick them back on the soundbar when I don't. It takes like 30 seconds to change the configuration, and there's really no downside that I have found yet. I have not tested the battery life but they have really lasted through a number of hours of sorts of movies. The bar does perfectly in front of my TV with our without the rears attached, and the rear speakers are compact and easy to set up. The sound quality seems to be great, and so far there is no trouble understanding spoken dialog. The only thing I'm not too sure about is whether it is worth the selling price, though it seems to have dropped some since the initial release. I am absolutely in love with this entire system. I wish I had the capability to record the high fidelity sound I get when just watching TV. I put on a show I've watched a few times and noticed with the detachable speakers that there were subtle soundtrack bits that I had missed that were so much clearer, as well as being able to hear things like whispered dialogue incredibly easily without reaching for the remote. Then I turned on some music and cranked up the bass to rwst the subwoofer. It was amazing. Almost as good as being in the middle of a concert. Set up was super easy. Removing it from the box and putting it all together and in place took no more time than deciding where to put the pieces (the subwoofer is kind of huge). I connected it to my LG smart TV using Bluetooth. I had to turn off the TV speakers or it would create an echo. The JBL One app connected to it in just a couple of seconds, and all of the pieces are synced as one - so no need to sit and click different pieces to get them to work together. And the auxiliary pieces (subwoofer and speakers) are connected wirelessly as well. I am also going to try and optical audio cord to see if it has better quality, but the Bluetooth is perfectly clear. It connects to my phone easily so I can play from there via Bluetooth or Chromecast. Oh and I was able to register the product in the app automatically in a couple of minutes, which I love, because I hate having to do extra steps for that sort of thing. The detachable speakers calibrate against each other and the soundbar itself, so no matter where you put them or how big your room is, you are always going to have the best sound for your space.
