I looked a really long time for guest bed options in a small room that would be suitable for a tall adult. I considered a Murphy bed, two side-by-side full beds, and many, many other fold-out sofa bed/couch options. This one is perfect. Easy to assemble. Firm mattress. I received this daybed 3 days after I ordered. It was very easy to assemble. I did need help zipping both covers, they are extremely tight. This is very firm, which I like, I may have to use a topper when using as a bed, because you can feel the seam between the two. I also wish the store would offer additional bolster pillows. Both parts of the fold out sofa have nothing binding each other and we had to buy multiple more things to make it functional. We had to buy elastic band and a rubber mat base to keep it steady and topper to make it reasonably cushiony to sleep Still after all this we need to rejoin it every week

We wanted to convert our guest room (had a queen sized bed in it that took up most of the space) into a playroom but we still wanted to be able to sleep two guests if needed. We looked at daybeds but the footprint of these were too big for the space. I did not want a pull out couch since I’ve never slept on one of those and felt like I’d had a good night sleep in the morning. I found this on Amazon and I’m so glad I did! It is perfect for what we needed in this space. As a couch, it is comfortable though it is slightly lower to the ground than a regular couch. I admit that when the box came I was skeptical since it didn’t seem like the whole thing could fit in the one box that arrived, but once we assembled it, we were very happy. One person has slept on it and elected not to make it into the full queen size, but they said it was very comfortable. It did have a very noticeable odor right out of the box, but it faded away in less than 2 weeks. Seller was great and shipping was faster than expected. The bottom line: Pros: great for a small space while not sacrificing the ability to have guests, comfortable as both a couch and a bed, quality material Cons: out of box smell, cost (though when we priced out daybeds, by the time we factored in mattresses, this wasn’t much more and still sleeps 2 people) I love it, as it fits our specific needs. ... show more

The base is not safe for children due to the carcinogenic materials, which we threw away. It would not have fit into the cover that was provided anyway. I kept the cushions and covers because we are going to build our own platform for the futon/queen bed. Definitely not worth $700.00 that we paid.
