My son and his best friend each got one of these bikes for Christmas 2023 they were both about to turn 15 years old and they love to fish around the Monterey Peninsula and needed a way to transport themselves. After looking through many reviews we decided this was our best bet had fat tires that could go on more terrain and kept a good speed being that there full size high school boys, and the backside basket was great to be able to attach fishing poles When the boys got their bikes, they were so excited took off immediately Christmas Day to go ride around the bike trail in our town. They also tested him right away to see how far they could go on a full battery. They had so much fun on these bikes, it was a great purchase. Now fast forward, and we've had the bikes for quite a few months and yes, we've had a few issues with the bikes. My son had the de railer fall off while he was riding.. I emailed to the Jason customer service and they got back to me right away. We're so friendly and helpful sent out all the parts I needed. A month later, we had a problem with the brakes my son was riding and all the bolts came out of the front brake. I emailed the company heard back with them again within the day and they sent me out what I needed as well as a new chain which had been an issue when we got the derailer. Most recently he was riding home downtown and went up the curb and popped the rear tire. I reached out to the customer service again and again within 24 hours they had responded to me and a new tire was in the mail. Don't hesitate Just buy the bike it's a great bike. It's a wonderful price. My son and his best friend have had so much fun on these bikes and I absolutely love that. The customer service has been friendly, prompt and responsive to all of my needs to me. That's a huge selling point. ... show more

I like how fast it goes, without much effort. I DON'T like, the bike is NOT "Bluetooth" (it is not possible to pair the bike to an app). MOST OF ALL, I don't like how the manufacturer states "30+ mph at max speed", but I can NOT get it above 20.8mph (unless I go down a hill or literally pick up the back end of the bike) I'm 195lbs. And since there is NOT an app to pair to... the ability to "unlock speed settings" isn't an option. FAT TIRE is not public transportation friendly (don't fit bike racks). The bike is so heavy, it is impractical to fold it regularly for storage. The frame is so different than a standard bike, that most bike accessories (travel pouch, safety lights, bike lock storage, etc) won't attach with traditional methods. Overall, it IS easier to get around and extremely fun to ride. But it is very difficult to add anything "extra" to the bike that isn't already stock ... show more

Great bikes overall. Would be a 5 star but neither bike will hook to their app. I have. Emailed the about the problem but received no response and has been 0ver a week. Also their add on Amazon is misleading, it says X-Hunter/Pro that are 1800 watt peak but what you receive is just the X-Hunter 1400 watt peak power. ... show more

I was very skeptical on buying my first e bike. Lots of bad reviews and lots of good reviews for all of them. I finally decided to pull the perverboial trigger and purchase 2 jaison x hunters. They arrived on time and in great condition. Both were very very easy to assemble. I bought these I'm mind of starting a bike rental in my small little town. Now I'm going to order 4 more. These bikes seem to be well built. I have not ridden them outside yet due to uncontrollable circumstances, ie snow. Looking forward to next week when I can get them to the lower land and go for a cruise. So far I'm very happy with my purchase. I will report more after the first ride. ... show more

We'll built but heavy. The throttle is erratic. Doesn't always work when starting out. Has good acceleration and nice suspension.
