JanSport is a classic brand, I had a few back in high school and they could handle multiple textbooks just fine. This specific backpack is a mini version I plan to use while doing excursions on cruises, it’s little, comfortable for all day wear, lightweight and good quality. Price was fantastic too. I love this little backpack, I use it as a photographer to carry little supplies and hold my clients belongings while we are walking around. I have also used it at the airport for travel. It's a great size. The reason for 4 stars is I hate the shoulder straps. I wish they were padded just a little, they are quite uncomfortable on my shoulders. Otherwise this is a nice quality bag, zippers work great, and it has multiple functions for storage. The price kinda makes me feel better about the straps, lol. ... show more

Prior to this purchase, I owned a red Jansport Mini Backpack since the year of 2006 and I absolutely love how practical they are for various everyday needs. First and foremost, the design of this mini backpack is fantastic. It comes in a variety of colors and patterns to suit your personal style. I opted for a classic black one, and it goes well with any outfit. Despite its smaller size, the Jansport Mini Backpack offers ample storage space. The main compartment comfortably fits my essentials like a wallet, phone, keys, and 2 standard plastic water bottles. There's also a front zippered pocket that's perfect for items I need quick access to, like my headphones or hand sanitizer. The organization within the bag is well thought out. Durability is a significant plus point for this backpack. Jansport is known for its quality, and this mini version lives up to that reputation. The zippers are robust, and the stitching is solid. The only minor downside is that, the straps are not padded so if you choose to carry heavier items, then it could become uncomfortable. I bought the JanSport Half Pint Mini Backpack because I needed something small and unobtrusive for my 10-year-old daughter to carry around on our cruise. It JUST fits her iPad Air (which was the one thing I was most worried about) and there’s still room for other essentials like a water bottle, a book, snacks, and a few small personal items.
