  • Very happy with my new sewing machine!
Style: Janome 6650
I sew and make quilts. This machine is awesome. It is so quiet compared to my other sewing machines. I have only used it for two days so I will update if my opinion changes! There is no vibration or movement when sewing fast and for long periods. I received the machine fast and it was packaged well. Customer service has been excellent when I made contact with the seller regarding a few questions I had. This machine will make any quilter out there very happy with all the accessories and durability this machine offers. ... show more

  • OMG
I had an older Janome embroidery machine that was great but not supported anymore. I am now quilting and sewing so much more and this is like driving a luxury car. Read the instructions. This will be the last machine I use as I am positive it will last more than 20 years. Wonderful product.

  • The sewing field is more than enough.
Style: Janome 6650
I like the straight stitch. So far I have only used this stitch. I am trying to complete a quilt from Christmas. My other combination machine needs servicing and I needed a backup. I love that it does have a quarter inch setting. I have my own quarter inch foot. All in all it is adequate for my needs. It was shipped in a box that was much too large without any other packaging materials inside. I believe this caused on of the thread spool spindles to break off. That was disappointing but not enough to return. ... show more

  • It's a dream come true, until it's not.
Style: Janome 6650
This machine does all the things is says and is a wonderful sewing machine until it isn't. I have had trouble with it skipping time. And that little thread cutter no longer works but it was so nice while it lasted. A few months after purchasing I had an emergency stop code thrown after it locked up, broke the needle and skipped time the first time. It was sent back to the manufacturer and after 3 months they fixed the broken cutter and lock up motor but it came back with a threader that won't thread, missing foot pressure gage indicator, an overly tight thread catcher on needle. I'm flexible so I continued sewing with it because I love my machine. Went ahead finishing my quilt for it only to skip time in the middle of casually chain piecing. I'm frustrated because again it has to go back for something that should not have happened to a just serviced machine. I'm sure there are machines in this series that are sewing wonderfully with no problems but I didn't get one. I feel like if you pay $1500 plus for a machine it should do better and be completely functional not just part functional Happy sewing. ... show more

  • She can be picky, but I love this machine.
Style: Janome 6650
I love this machine and the large bed for quilting. The lighting is superb, and although It can be picky, (use good thread, bobbins, and needles) and yet there will be times you scratch your head trying to figure out a small problem. I would suggest joining a Janome group on Face Book. They have been so helpful with their suggestions on how to solve various problems. Once you learn how to use the machine, it’s a work horse. I have had it for a little over a year. Did I say I love it? ... show more

  • Nice machine, love the features.
Style: Janome 6650
This is a nice machine. Just sewed a denim vest for my husband. It walked right thru 4 layers of heavy denim with 2 layers of interfacing. No problem at all. Auto button holer is really nice. Only played with the monogram feature but by following the instructions it was easy to do. I really like the drop in bobbin instead of having to put the bobbin in below the plate and sideways. Much easier for my old fingers. Auto thread cut is nice as is the auto threader. I did find the auto needle threader doesn't work as well with all synthetic thread. It splits the thread then. But it works fine with all cotton thread. Will be trying some quilting on it this winter. Very happy with purchase. If you follow the instructions from the book it is easy! It walks you thru how to do something just like a cake recipe. ... show more
