    • LOVE this machine. I switched from Brother to this one!
I purchased two Brother machines on Amazon. A refurbished and a new Brother machine. Both went back because the tension issues were bad from the start. I did not buy this machine on Amazon but did research it here, and ultimately bought it. Well the difference is amazing. I worked with a Brother VX940 metal mechanical that was a powerhouse for decades and thought I could get the same quality with Brother again, so I was hesitant to switch to Janome. My sewing machine person told me Janome is a better build than the new Brothers and I should try the brand. Right out of the box this machine had perfect tension. Fantastic! THE best buttonholes I have seen for a home machine. I used to go to a pro buttonhole machine place in Manhattan to get buttonholes done. The LOFT does equal great job. Very impressive. The only negative I have for the machine is that the extra tools fit it a hole, not a box like most but if that is the only thing bad about the machine then it's not a big deal. Also when you switch stitches the machine sets up the tension auto! No referring to the manual like Brother. ... show more

I purchased a Loft for a program I run and after purchasing it and using it for a day I returned and purchased one for home. I had purchased a Brother and promptly returned it as it didn’t hold a candle to this machine. I LOVE this machine! It is a power house and I know I will have it for years to come.
