First of all, this will not replace my Manduka Pro, nor is it meant to. This is a very thin mat of sticky rubber holds my hands and feet in poses and still folds up for travel. It is not comfy on the knees, but that's the price I am willing to pay for a handy, lightweight, easy-to-fold and pack travel yoga mat. That is what this is for. It does have a strong smell initially, but I reckon that will dissipate with time, use, and some cleaning. I think for the price it is worth it.

You can’t go wrong with Jade mats. The travel mat is so light and easy to set up wherever, the grip is amazing. I’ve been practicing yoga for 17 years and am a loyal fan of Jade 🫶🏼

I ordered this so that I could have a yoga mat while I travel on the road every week. I travel four to five days a week using a 22 inch roller bag and wasn't really in the mood to carry a seperate yoga mat as a carry on. I was shocked when I received the box from Amazon because it was so light; I thought it was empty. This mat is so lightweight and folds up into a nice flat rectangular shape. I just put it right on top of my clothes before I zip up the bag and it fits perfectly. I read some of the other reviews before I bought it and there were a few that said that it's super-thin and doesn't provide a lot of padding. I have found in using it that although it's super-thin it's very durable and it provides enough padding for me to do yoga in hotel rooms without any problem. I guess it's because the carpet in hotel rooms, although thin, provides a good base layer for it so I don't really have an issue. I definitely wouldn't use it as my primary mat at home because I have hardwood floors and I find that I need a thicker mat than this one. However, I do put it on top of my home mat when I'm doing a practice that puts extra pressure on my knees as I'm 56 and appreciate the extra padding in those cases. There were also some comments about whether it was sticky or not, but I haven't found that to be an issue. It does not slip at all when I use it on hotel carpets. As a point of reference, I'm 6' 1" and 200 pounds. I have had the mat for two months. The only other thing I would add is that it doesn't feel cheap in any way. From the moment I took it out of the box and in using it over time, it's very clear that it is a quality product and I'll definitely buy another Jade yoga mat when I change out my main mat.

It took me a long time to decide between the Jade Voyager and the Manduka Superlite travel mat so here are my thoughts to help those of you also trying to decide between the two. The description for both are similar and they do look the same. I decided to go with the Jade and I think I made the right choice. It is very sticky and i have only minimal problems slipping when my palms are sweaty. It has gotten stickier the more I use it and wipe it down so know that it gets better after about a month of use, and I expect it to get to an optimal place over time. The real benefit is the size. I fold this into a square the size of a book and stick it in the front pocket of my yoga bag. It is so small and lightweight (just 1.5 lbs) that sometimes I forget it's in there! I have definitely saved money by investing in this mat and not renting mats or paying for mat storage at the yoga studio. And I love that I can fold it rather than rolling it so that I can stick it in any bag that I am carrying. As far as thickness goes, it is thin and I often use a studio blanket for padding under my knees when needed. But for standing poses, i do not find the thin mat to be a problem. In fact, i feel a bit more stable with my feet closer to the floor. I have heard that if you sweat a lot or need a travel mat for hot yoga classes then the Manduka Superlite is probably a better choice. I might agree knowing that this has some slip, but i usually use a mat towel for those kinds of classes anyway. So if weight and size are your primary concerns I think this is the smallest and best option. I am pleased with this purchase.

It's a travel yoga mat so you can't expect a lot. I will say it's great for the practical packing aspect (and a physical reminder that you should be doing yoga!) but the actual using part obviously is going to leave something to be desired given the primary focus on it as being a practical solution rather than all the bells and whistles we all want. Anyway It serves its purpose and I am glad I bought it.

This mat is as promised - light weight and foldable, very convenient to pack. I have been using this on polished floors and the grip with the floor is very firm - it doesn't budge under the weight. In a humid and tropical weather, where I sweat very easily, it has provided excellent grip. The only downside to being so light weight is that it is extremely thin and there is no bounce. But that was expected and I use an extra folded blanket on top when I am doing knee intensive poses. Very satisfied with this purchase!
