Description

The Jackson Safety Fixed Shade Welding Helmet (W10 HSL 100) features a narrow shell design that's best for working in tight spots. The standard shade 10 filter plate and cover plates are factory installed. This durable shield is hard hat adaptable, comfortable & offers a large field of view for clear vision of the weld puddle. Use with MIG (metal inert gas), ARC, or TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding. Additionally, this product is adaptable to upgraded Jackson Safety ADFs like Insight, NexGen, and TrueSight II. The welding mask has an extended front, which increases throat protection from sparks, slag, fumes, and other physical hazards. It is CSA compliant and meets ANSI Z87.1 standards. This jackson welding mask is a classic design. In fact my first one bought 23 years ago was this exact one, except it was blue. It finally gave out and the sides broke off (mainly from rough treatment for over 2 decades). I most definitely got my moneys worth. The new one is the exact same plastic outer part, the headband is upraded and way better, much more comfortable. Still has large viewing area, non electronic, and super simple. Here's to another 20+ years. Id recommend to anyone to always have non electronic backup mask. Very affordable, quality built, common sizes for the screen and shade. Takes 2 min to change or clean. Great helmet for the price! Light weight but heavy duty, head gear is very adjustable in small increments even for my 7yr old son! Nice large viewing area and plenty of room to wear a half face respirator! Shade is in orange tint rather than green but its a nice change. I actually really enjoy switching to this helmet over my auto darkening once in a while! ... show more

    • All you need whether work or hobby.
I worked in production welding for years. I worked on many jobs with scrutinized tolerances and quality control. In the beginning i wore a miller auto dark helmet. I feel like it became a crutch. One day it failed and I recieved a great flash burn while welding aluminum. After that I have never gone back to auto dark helmets. They definitely have their place in welding, but the Jackson helmet is fantastic. Once you learn how to position and flip your hood down, you're set. This helmet is all i use for mig, tig, and stick. They are quality, you can change lenses, and they are quite comfortable. A standard helmet like this will never fail you. ... show more

I didn't want to buy an expensive auto dimming one for a beginner hobby usage. So, I picked this. It is a good helmet. The helmet headgear is really good. I think it's worth the money just for that one. I tried a few ones at HF models with similar price and they cannot compete. The fixed shade #10 is good for general usage. Only one issue I would raise is that if you have a bright sun or light behind you outdoors, the light can reflect off the lens inside coming in from the side and can be annoying. I think you can tape a cloth around the helmet top perimeter and put it over your head like a blanket hood. That would be only one negative. Otherwise, it's a good helmet. ... show more

Light weight but not cheap. Fits great. Can upgrade to auto dark later on. Head gear is super comfy. I bought the Lincoln version similar to this and the head gear felt cheap as did the helmet. This is quality at a great price.

I like Jackson welding hoods. The full face works good for a structural welder like myself and the price can't be better. Another thing I really like about the new hoods is the headband in them is a new style and it is very comfortable on my face.
