Hands down this is one of the best brands in the country. Before going with this one I ordered from another brand (Vevor) following my husband’s advice to try another brand that isn’t that expensive. Even tho Jackery was my first thought. Well the battery from the other brand arrived defective and the return process was a nightmare. When I finally got my money back I came straight to Jackery and man o man, what a difference in the products, the way that they look, feel and of course it work like PERFECTION, not just that, the other brand takes up to 8 hours to charge, this one 1 hour fully charged 😳 the solar panel, so thoughtfully designed, I even changed a small fan right away from it, perfect also. It is just so nice, better quality, better everything. I like quality, for me that is everything, and this brand and this product in specific delivers that 100% I sent it to my parents in Cuba they don’t have power most of the time and they made a video as soon as they got the battery they were running a light, a fan and the TV at the same time with this battery. Had to save up for this and it is worth it. Holds a charge like no other and lasts a reasonable amount of time, depending on what you're plugging in, of course. Haven't had a chance to try out the solar panel yet, but plan to once I go on my Summer camping trip. I originally wanted the Jackery Solar Generator 5000 Plus Portable Power Station with 2x 500W Solar Panels and Smart Transfer Switch for camping and emergencies, but the price tag was a bit much for a product and company I wasn't familiar with. So I got this one as a test drive, and I'm glad I did. I definitely plan to save up for the 5000 Plus. The 500 is great too, and I plan to keep it as it's great as a small portable generator. It's not heavy at all and all of the available ports are very convenient and easy to use. The Solar panel is a big bonus as well, I can't wait to try it out this Summer.

I bought this unit just over 2 years ago and it’s still going strong. And I’m a full-time digital nomad with an overland setup. However, knowing what I know now about Solar Generators, I would not have bought it. First off… this is a Lithium battery and as such charges very slowly. 89w is the fastest it charges even with the AC. DC on my 4Runner can get as high as 75w and my 300w solar panel about 74. I’ve since bought a higher capacity (700wh) LiFePo battery that reaches 296w input on AC and my 300w panel and is capable of keeping my portable fridge, Starlink satellite kit, WeBoost, laptop, tablet and phone charged while maintaining capacity. This Explorer 500 unit can keep the fridge going and provide one, maybe two charges for the laptop and not much else. As such, this unit is a backup. Which is very handy for bad weather days or when my LiFePo battery’s input unit failed — this unit has never failed. So that’s a huge plus. Also, my limited experience with Jackery’s Customer Service is very positive. The Solar Saga 100w panel I bought with this failed after 6mos, and after sending them a video demonstrating the problem, the sent a warranty replacement right out the next day. When you’re out on your adventure, having fast and reliable support is critical to keeping you in action. And they were definitely there for me The only other drawback is the — sorry to say — STUPID — “fisher-price” handle. I mean c’mon! Why design the unit to prevent stacking? Two batteries is ideal, you want backup. And this design actively prevents that. However, their higher end batteries have a folding handle like their competitors. And they are also offering LiFePo4, which I highly recommend over Lithium for lifespan as well as the rapid charge which this unit lacks I know I’ve poo-poo’d this item a bit, but it’s still going strong and as a reserve battery that stacks ON TOP of my main battery, so I have no real complaints as evidenced by my 5 star review which it deserves because it’s been rock solid and because I know their support is great So if you have very lightweight power needs and aren’t needing something to keep you going for extended tripe in the outdoors, this item would be ok. But for the price, you can get better value with a LiFePo battery. Hopefully they’ll upgrade the Explorer series since they really are weak sauce compared to what’s out there

Perfect for camping, power outages, anytime you need a power boost. The solar panel charger the jackery from 10% to 95% in 6 hours of full sun. I did have to adjust the panel as the sun moved, because well physics and the curvature of the earth, for max sun absorption. Great for using that air mattress pump, recharging your computer, using starlink to run away from the city to work in peace. I use a CPAP because I always wanted to be a fighter pilot. I can run it for 8 hours a night for two nights before needing to recharge for a 3rd night. I do not use a heated hose so maybe good for 1 1/2 nights with a heated hose.

I was hoping for much more than this Jackery (500) can provide. But that’s not their fault, rather mine. During a power outage this won’t run a refrigerator and it can power my TV for just 2 hours (54 inch). But, I just returned from a camping trip and it powered our cellphone and air mattress inflator, and held a charge for a remarkably long time. Seems well built. Haven’t tried the solar panels yet. Love the idea of having this as a backup to my gas generator. Very portable.

I bought this for dry camping in my RV. I wanted an easy way to recharge my multiple Ipads, Iphones and computers. I just returned from an 18 day trip and the jackery 500 with the 100 watt solar panel performed flawlessly. Recharging it was the easiest system I have ever worked with. In sunny AZ the system went from 83% to 100% in 2 hours. If it was cloudy, I plugged into my 12volt plug while driving and generally went from low 80s to 100% within a 3 hour drive. I have not used the 120 volt charger yet as it was not needed. In total I recharged 2 Ipads, 2 phones, 1 computer and 1 jet pack overnight. Battery would be in the low 80% by morning, sometimes 75% by evening back to 100%. I highly recommend this system. Addendum photos first photo 11:48 am, 2nd 12:42 pm, 3rd 1:48 pm, 4th 3:02 pm, 5th 3:55 pm Recharge in Tucson, AZ. May 23, 2021 Went from 100% to 81% after charging 2 Iphones, 2 Ipads, 1 jetpack. 1 Ipad in use for a couple of hours while being charged.

This was a gift for my husbands birthday and he says 'best birthday gift every'. He has wanted a solar charger for a while. This came very nicely package and very easy to put together. He has charged it with both power and solar and it reaches 100% pretty quickly. He ran his ham radio off of it for over 3 hours and power only dropped 27% which was great. He then tried running his CPAP machine off it that night. He ran the machine for 9.5 hours with no glitches and and he said it still had 33% charge in the am. You can even run your kerig coffee machine off this! If you are looking for a great product to back up for emergencies you should consider this one as it is well worth the price.
