  • Jackery explorer 2000 plus
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
This purchase was 2 yrs of saving up to afford it but soo worth every penny. Full time living in rv with no a/c in the triple digit heat (the last 4 summers) is miserable beyond description. Did my research on what size I would need to power my a/c & this beauty sat in my amazon cart for 2yrs. Finally got her along with a 40ft extension cord & solar panel for charging. Game changer!! Mental & physical health have improved tremendously having a/c this summer thanks to this amazing jackery generator. Never used one before so it took some learning but i caught on. I can say the a/c runs the power down to 0% in 2 hrs but the fast charge back up to 100% takes just over an hour. My solar panel has kept it charged while running so im grateful everything is working as should be. Can’t wait to use it for camping off grid as well. Such a lifesaver! Definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Better than a gasoline generator
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
When I am doing yard work, handyman jobs, and other duties, I often resort to my power tools. The battery powered ones are fine, but for long lasting heavy duty power, I need a direct power line. I used to use gasoline powered tools, but they are noisy and environmentally horrible. So, I defaulted to many battery backup systems. Unfortunately, even the best of them don't have the stamina of a direct powered tool. I was recently removing concrete from a floor and needed my DeWalt rotary hammer. It is great when using it with a chisel tip. However, it only works off a direct power line. I do have a rotary hammer drill that is battery powered, but is doesn't have the staying power or the oomph. The Jackery solves all my problems. I charge it up and wheel it to the job site. It will power my electric systems for hour on end. Full power and no issue with small batteries overheating or dying. I have a Honda 5000 watt generator that is sort of quiet that I used to wheel to the job. Now, I use this Jackery. The system is easy to use, I can wheel it, and it's weight is easily manageable if it is picked up. It definitely was a good purchase. ... show more

  • Great backup power supply
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
Very nice solar generator. I am waiting on the conversion cord for my solar panels, but the battery lasts quite a long time even just from charging it from the wall. Hoping it does great once I can get my solar panels connected. It is quite heavy, but does come with a telescopic handle, though the handle does seem a bit flimsy. ... show more

  • Jackery’s 1st LifePO4 battery!
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
Wanted something for home use that will be cycled often. I have several batteries I use for camping (2000pro for 1-2 nights, 3000pro plus solar panels for longer trips and a 1000pro for small devices). I do plan on using this (2000plus) for summer camping trips if I take my portable AC with me. PROS: -as with all Jackery products its very simple to operate -LifePO4! -ability to run 240v with two 2000plus linked together using a Jackery connector -expandable up to 24kwh! -massive 3000w inverter -30amp RV outlet -Jackery App allows monitoring/controlling of the 2000plus or the 3000pro from any location (away from your home) as long as they are connected to your home Wi-Fi. It will allow for quite charging as well which brings down charge rate from around 1800watts to 750+ watts -fast charging thru AC or solar panels -5 year warranty -built in charger (no more power bricks to carry) -a couple of 100w PD ports for charging high end laptops -retractable handle and wheels make it easier move the unit around Cons: -The cable to connect the battery pack to the main unit is huge and sticks out ~18 inches. If Jackery is reading this, please come up with an angled connector so the units can be placed closer to the wall!!! Note: -Since this is a LifePO4 battery, the app will no longer allow you to use “Battery Saving Mode” option. Charge to 100% or discharge to 0% and it will not damage the battery. Currently only the 3000pro has “Battery Saving Mode” option. -The battery pack cannot be used as a stand-alone unit as there are no output ports. To charge the battery pack using AC, it must be attached to the 2000plus. However, you can use up to 6 Solar saga 200s to charge this unit without the need to attach to the 2000plus ( there are 2 solar inputs at the back of the battery pack) -When charging or using the batteries, both the main unit and battery pack charges/discharges at the same time. Tip: - Bluetooth and Wi-Fi shuts down after 5 minutes when no connection is detected or if connected device goes out of range from the unit. To turn it back on, simply press AC and DC buttons at the same time for 3 seconds and you will be able to reconnect with the Jackery App. Overall it’s a solid product that is intended for home use. For the camping crowd, weekend warriors or for folks who does not cycle thru the battery daily I highly recommend the Jackery PRO line because it weighs ~40% less than LifePO4. ... show more

  • Expendable power backup solution for home and RV.
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
I am a long time user of Jackery batteries. I was very excited when the Explorer 2000 plus was released. This is the very 1st expendable battery system that Jackery has released. It allows up to 12kwh capacity on a 3000w 120v output, or 24kwh on a 6000w 240v output. Perfect upgrade for my home backup. Jackery Explorer 2000 plus uses the new LiFePO4 battery cells. The LiFePO4 cells are much safer comparing to the Li-Ion cells. It can operate between -4F to 140F temperature, and much better performance in a cold environment than the Li-Ion cells. The LFP( LiFePO4) cells is rated 4000 cycles to 70%+, and the Li-ion cells is rated 1000 cycles to 80%. It can last about 4 times longer than the Li-ion battery cells, can easily last 10 years on a daily use. That’s great for a daily home power backup solution!! Since the density of the LPF battery is different from the Li-Ion, it makes it a little heavier than the Li-ion batteries. The 2000 plus weighs about 61.5lb, and the 2000 pro weighs about 43lb. Almost 20lb heavier than the Li-ion battery. Portability wise it might not be the best option, but for a long lasting purpose this will be great! That’s why the 2000 plus has built in wheels, and handle to make it easier when transporting the battery to different locations. Then 2000 plus inverter can output 3000w max, and 6000w surge peak, where as the 2000 pro can only output 2200 w max, and 4400w surge peak. That means, I am able to power more devices around the house with this battery. I was even able to charge my Tesla with this battery as well. Even tho it’s only one level 1 charging, with 120v 12 amp, I can get about 10 miles of driving range from the 3kwh amount of power. Not bad for emergency needs. The Jackery control app is very useful. I can pretty much control everything via the app. I can adjust battery charging speed, output on/off, monitor output voltage, % of power left, temperature and more. The app can connect to the battery via bluetooth, or wifi. When connected via wifi, I can access my battery from anywhere, as long as I have internet access. This makes it so much easier to make changes when I am not home. I don’t see any web version of the app. I am hoping that Jackery will provide some type of web access as well, that will be even more useful as a backup, if something happens to the smartphone. I am super excited to see that the expendable setup allows up to 5 additional expansion batteries to connect to one 2000 plus base unit. Which max at 12kwh capacity. That can easily run the whole house for 24 hours or more. This makes the system really flexible, depending on my needs I can customize the capacity that fits my lifestyle. With the 30 amp outlet, I am going to connect to my transfer switch at home, so I can use this to backup the whole house for emergency purposes. Right now I have 4kwh, I am planning to upgrade to 6kwh in the next few months. I am super excited, with the possibility I have with this new expendable design. ... show more

  • Does the job.
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
This is my second Jackery. I find this one too heavy for a woman to take down the stairs. I prefer Jakery over Generac. It holds the charge longer and shorter time to charge.

  • Good But Could Be Better
Style: Explorer 2000 Plus
I now own two of these, bought at different times, so that should give you some idea what I think of them. They are good, but could be improved. The main issues I have are: 1. Being able to turn on/off the battery saving feature, which limits charge and discharge, can only be done if the device is below the high end charge limit. That is rather frustrating, but not a huge deal. 2. If you have one or more of the expansion packs, how it uses power from those packs seems to be random. That matters to me because the second base unit I have is for charging these packs. I would like the base station to use the packs first, or be able to tell it to use them all simultaneously. It seems to do what it wants based on the phase of the moon. 3. The pass through when charging from alternating current is limited to 1500 watts, and apparently if you exceed that, the unit shuts off, rather than cutting charging, which would be less interruptive. 4. You have to power the base station off to add/remove expansion packs. If you're wondering why these things are important to me, the way I'm using this is one base station to power the house during outages, and the other to charge expansion packs with a small generator. That allows me to run the generator about 1/3rd of the time during power outages, and not at all at night. Less fuel and less noise. If it had better A-C pass through where I could use and charge simultaneously with use, it would be a lot more convenient. ... show more
