If you are on the fence about the cost of this steamer and are hesitating to buy it - just DO it. Nothing makes me happier than to save up for an expensive item and then for it to exceed my expectations right off the bat. I have a clothing reselling business and was working with a terrible faulty handheld Rowenta steamer for much longer than I care to admit. I had been thinking about a Jiffy for over a year - actually for a couple years. I wish I could get all that time back by just spending the money years ago. It's FAST. And it hasn't harmed any of my items - I use it on silk all the time. No issues. I got the plastic handle which I would recommend - I've head the metal handles are heavy and I believe that. It gets HOT and you do have to be very careful when using it. I bought this as a wedding gift to my bff and we used it on the wedding day for the dresses, including wedding dress, and her veil. It did great on our bridemaid's dress fabrics, stretchy polyster, but it did take a long time for the wedding dress and veil. The steam didn't come out with enough pressure to get the job done in a timely manner. The best steamer and it's pink! Highly recommend this steamer. I went with the plastic head because I heard the metal one is pretty heavy and I have lots of clothes to steam regularly so did not want the arm strain. The plastic head works perfectly for what I need it for and I love the lower price. Amazing steam action and minimal wait time. Plus the water tank is big allowing me to steam several and I mean over 20+ pieces with one tank. That is huge for me when my little hand held travel one only did 2.5 pieces on 1 tank lol. I really liked that the steam is ready in like a minute, the stand is very helpful and the design makes it easy to store away in a full closet. I love that I can steam a large load without having to stop to refill the water. The only things I don't love is that the head does get very hot so I have to wear special gloves to steam for extended periods of time. Also, the hose gets hot so be careful with your legs. Most of the time the head sits safely on the stand but you gotta get it in the correct position or it will move and could potentially fall off of it and burn you. That hasn't happened to me but just make sure the head is safely placed on its back and it doesn't move on its own when you sit it on the top of the stand.
