We bought this bed to host guests right after we moved into our home. It was a couple and their 1 yr old on the queen size mattress. I was concerned about the auto air pump being too loud and waking the baby, but they said it was quiet and didn’t disturb them at all.     • It’s remarkable, but not fully automatic.

First, the quiet “secondary built-in pump”, is not quiet. Imagine a can opener, compared to a cheap garbage disposal. That’s the different between the secondary and main motor. However, I slept one night this, and never heard it go off. I watched TV for about an hour before going to sleep. The motor didn’t turn on during TV time, and if it went off during the night, I didn’t hear it. It did go off once I got out of bed. What’s not automatic? Inflating: When the automatic inflate turned off, the legs weren’t all touching the floor. I had push the legs down and bit, and then I manually turned the knob to “Inflate” to get it fully inflate. I then over-inflated the mattress (a bit), just to be sure. Deflating: As other mentioned, you have tuck in the legs I (back to front), to ensure all the air goes out. You push down on the retracting legs, in-time with the air going out. With all of the mattress tucked and deflated under the legs, it zipped up easily back into its rolling cart. Felt easier than standard air mattresses. Best to practice inflating and deflating, before you need to do it on a time crunch. I’m glad I did. Comfort: I used a 2inch memory foam pad, a 1inch pillowy topper, and set the mattress to firm. It was terrific and it was sturdy. I was not expects sturdy, but I got. There’s a decent bounce to it, as if it had spring. Read: I think having sex on this, using a pad and topper, would be comparable to a hybrid mattress like Casper or Lucid. Noticed a slight roll to the center. Two sleepers might find that awkward, if they don’t like each other. ... show more

The air bed worked as it should. We decided to get a 2 inch pad to make it a little bit more comfortable. It works great for our spare bedroom/office. We have owned it now for a couple of months and our guests have used it for up to a couple of weeks.

    • Inflates automatically, just a little more difficult to put away

We have a combination office/guest bedroom and didn't want a bed permanently in place. We looked at Murphy Beds and Cabinets but they start at $1600 and I'm sure we would have wanted the quality of a $2500 unit. Since we seldom have overnight guests we just couldn't justify that kind of money. Then in my search of blow up beds I watched the video of this unit and couldn't stop smiling. Plus, we are tall and most blow ups and Murphy beds sit low to the floor. This doesn't, so us older generation can get in and out of it easily. I unzipped it, plugged it in and just like the video it automatically opened and filled to the pressure we selected. By wife fell backwards on it and said, "I can sleep on this thing". When putting it away the air is sucked out and it once again collapses on itself. The only effort is to push the end forcing it to fold into itself and the roller bag. To increase the comfort we will buy topping for it. We can afford one now. This is a very affordable way to accommodate overnight guests without having a bed the centerpiece of the room. ... show more

    • Auto Deflate Motor Very Loud, then Stopped working

We got this set up quickly, no issues there. The auto-inflate up for keeping the inflation pressure constant was very load right out of the box. No way anyone is going to be sleeping when that thing goes off. We have had a Serta with a similar pump and it was very quiet. A couple of days after set up I went to check the auto pump again, and the function had stopped working all together. The main pump for inflating and deflating worked fine. Returned it. ... show more

It is easy to use. I am concerned of the quality of the zipper and I did not receive a repair kit with the bed as indicated. Repair instructions were included but no kit.

Bed adjusts to you very well. We did put a mattress pad on it because of the ridges they’re not comfortable and that helped a lot.
