I have one of these fancy new Apple Mac Book Air laptops, with the new M1 chip. So fast. Anyway of course it doesn't have a regular HDMI port on it. Grr :( This cord does the trick without a dongle. You plug the USB-C bit into the laptop (thank God it at least has two of those) and the HDMI into your monitor. It works. Your monitor is now displaying your laptop's screen. This is well made, and beautiful with it's gold coated usb-c and hdmi ends.. yet.. it never worked. It was highly embarrassing that it didn't work on a trip that I initially wanted it for. But, when I tried it later.. (almost forgot I had it now it's too late to return) I tried it again today.. on another tv.. i figured maybe the tv was too new at the air bnb. No, it didn't work on my samsung galaxy tab a7 to the 1080p samsung tv or my moms phone to tv.. cord just doesn't work for me.. I think I'm stuck with it unless i can find a use for it. ... show more

I'm using this to plug my 2020 Macbook Pro into an LG 34GN850-B 34" 3440x1440 ultrawide and it works. I get an 85hz refresh rate in latest (as of this writing on 11/3/2020) MacOS Catalina at 3440x1440. I honestly don't know whether I should expect a faster refresh rate than that or not, as the Macbook Pro is for work and not for gaming, but the cable works for me. I get 144hz over displayport on my gaming pc with the same monitor but I believe that's because displayport has much more throughput. At any rate, the cable's braiding is nice and it's still flexible enough to work with, and it looks good next to the space grey Macbook Pro. ... show more

If you are looking for a way to connect or daisy chain multiple monitors from your laptop then this is your solution. I have dual displays and my docking station only supports specific inputs (DisplayPort and USB-C) and one of my monitors only has an HDMI-in. I initially purchased a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to connect the monitor but that wasn't as seamless as I would have liked .. the monitor would often flicker if I disconnected the laptop from the docking station and I found myself reconnecting the adapter (unplugging/plugging back) in order for it to display correctly. This USB-C to HDMI provided a MUCH better solution with no flickering, no issues with quality or refresh rate. It supports high resolution and I would highly recommend this cable to anyone who is looking for an easy way to connect to your docking station that has a USB-C or even a Macbook, etc.. ... show more

I'm using this cable on an RTX 2080 Super FE's USB-C port and connected it to a 34" Ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor (60 Hz). It worked without any issues and the cable also supports/carries audio. I didn't experience any flickering or black screen issues. I also didn't turn off my PC, I simply disconnected other cables and connected the USB-C to HDMI cable and it worked straight away. My monitor detected the HDMI source and it switched seamlessly. I've always loved iVANKY's cable quality, nice metal housing for the connectors with a thick braided cable. This cable seems like it'll be highly versatile too, considering virtually all devices are using USB-C. I highly recommend iVANKY and their cables, high quality stuff. ... show more

You know, these are some really nice cables. But I had to send them back. Not the company or the cables fault, my phone with a USB C port didn't send out a HDMI signal. I'm not sure if it even is supposed to. The CUBOT description didn't say that it would. I figured I would give it a shot. Nope. The phone company ( CUBOT ) didn't get back to me yet. It's only been a day since I emailed them. However the cable company ( IVANKY ) did. Nice folks, professional. They looked up what phone I was using and saved me some time by telling me my phone can't be connected to the HDMI of my TV. But when I need a cable I'll give them a sale. I returned it with no problem. UPS came to my door with a label and took the package back to my new friends in Indiana. I received a email telling me a refund has been issued just being in transit. It caused a lot of frustration before I switched our entire organization to using Microsoft's USB-C to HDMI adapters for dual monitors attached to a surface. Product works as intended. I am using it to connect my MacBook to my 42” television for gameplay. Even though it’s a smart TV with airplay the refresh rate is slow so playing with a wireless connection causes a lot of lag. The wire has resolved that issue and so far seems to provide clear, crisp, HD image. Package arrived quickly. At first I had a bit of trouble getting the audio to come through the television speakers - but it turned out to be a settings issue. If you run into the same just go into your MacBook settings and change the default sound output to your television, otherwise it’ll stay on the default which is typically the laptop speakers. For the price I’m very satisfied. I haven’t really put it under a full stress test yet but so far the product is as described and works as intended. ... show more
