I currently work in the private impound industry where I tow illegally parked vehicles from private property. At times this field of work can be rather volatile. So I purchased this body worn camera for not only my protection, but for the company as well as the public. I have had this camera for a couple of months now and it works flawlessly. It’s been knocked off of my chest mount a couple of times and is rugged enough that it sustained no damage. The camera works as designed and is easy to operate. I use it every single shift. The HD video quality is great. It automatically records in smaller clips so that retrieval of the video is easier and faster when needed. The only downside is they it has no micro SD card provision for expanding the storage so that the user can go longer between data extraction times. The battery lasts for my entire shift which is around ten hours nightly. This is definitely a great buy. Especially at the price point. Works Perfectly for a Body Cam, but doesn't block out wind on my motorcycle like I'm assuming an Action Cam would. I don't have $400 for a GoPro yet though, this works in the mean time. It only records for 12 hours without charging, not 20, but if you charge for an hour on Brunch Break, it will make it though your 2nd shift...all day! I have dropped a few times, including while driving a motorcycle, because it didn't click when mounted to my face, the lens will get scratched before it breaks. It is indeed built tough! Siren can be heard under my helmet while going 30mph or so, so loud enough. The red light can be seen from 5FT in daylight, so really strong at night. This product is made sturdier than expected. It's a pity that there is no option to add memory. Recording time in standby mode is as described. And the motion detection function is better than expected. I turned on IR and continued recording, and the last recording time was about 9 hours and 48 minutes. This Boblov M5 128GB bodycam is great. Its video files are easy to access, save & delete through the camera screen or by plugging the camera into the USB port on your computer. I like the wide angle lens, the front button/record, the video screen it has & motion activation. The mounts are solid. But you should buy the Boblov 4 magnet body camera mount to stabilize it more if its mounted to your shirt. The problem with any body camera mounted to your shirt is when you lean forward your shirt & camera lean also. So you need an elastic strap under your shirt wrapped around your chest to put half of the magnetic mount. Then mount the camera, It won't move away from your body. The infrared is awesome, it can see in pitch black dark. You may have to hold down the infrared button for it to activate. It does not have a white balance/brightness option, but has a decent built-in flashlight good for about 7ft in front of you. I like that it has internal batteries not external ones, meaning you just plug the included charger into the camera to charge. Another good feature is the internal memory, you don't need an external s/d card. And to clarify the 5min, 10min, etc, recording option, it stays recording, it just splits the videos into 10minute vids, but it does not stop recording until you press the stop button. It does this to have smaller files to delete or transfer instead of one large video file. So on the 10min option for a 30min video, you'd have 3 10 minute video files.     • It wont last a normal Security Shift!

So, after 11 months of use I have found that using an old 10 year iPhone works better than this item. This unit that I purchased does not last in Stand By mode for a typical 10-12 hour shift. Yes, Stand By mode. So its on but not on. Stand By its ready but not active. So I have been using this unit for 11 months, keep it in Stand By mode, press the front face button when I feel i need to capture which has been roughly 8-12 times and less than a 2 minutes per. So I am unable to capture less than ~30 minutes spread across 10-12 hours before I get a Chinese symbol with a red battery symbol. The unit will not start back up. Then when I get home and plug it in to charge - it shows a charged battery. So either I got a faulty unit or this unit is not worth a purchase. I will now look for a non BOBLOV unit to serve my needs. ... show more
