Not as cushiony as a traditional sofa but totally doable. Used it as a bed for guests we had- I got an egg crate mattress topper and put a sheet over it and it worked like a charm! It looks great and I find it very comfortable to lay across (I pick up one arm rest to lean my head on).

Because I was replacing a sleeper bed. I did not care if it was that comfortable. I’ve never found any sleeper bed that I could sleep comfortably on unless I added another foam mattress. The size is perfect for my 40 ft destination trailer. It actually takes up less space than the cumbersome sofa bed that came new with this trailer. It is comfortable to sit and watch tv or work on computer. It is a little low to the floor for me and I’m short. So if you are tall you should keep this in mind. ... show more

Very disappointed. Packaged arrive with not one but two tears. I’ve seen other reviews complaining about the same thing. Gave them the benefit of doubt and was also unlucky. I love these! My housemate sleeps on this every night and I sleep on one every night too (a different color), so, I absolutely love these. Sometimes I add an extra mattress pad for extra cushion, sometimes I don’t. My roommate likes it with no extra cushion. The synthetic leather version is very handsome and soft. This sofa bed is looks very nice but it doesn't offer much comfort. I am keeping mine because it fits well in my home office and looks really nice. I can sleep on rocks so the discomfort doesn't bother me. Using it as a couch hurts my butt to sit on. When I have guests over to sleep on this, I had to purchase a foam cover to lay over the top of this. But like I said, for the value, I think it is worth it barely.
