This is without a doubt one of the brightest, most colorful signs I've ever seen. The other reviews I read prior to purchase were spot on about several things. First, after taking pictures under many different ambient lighting conditions, there was no way I could get a photo that looked as good as the sign does in real life. It's gorgeous. Next, the provided power supply gets scary hot and I don't trust it. Apparently 12 vdc and (allegedly?) 2 amps doesn't cut it for what the sign needs. After 30 minutes of run time the power supply was reading over 134 degrees Fahrenheit and I wasn't comfortable with it. I hoard old tech in a Rubbermaid tub so I went browsing through my stash and found a 5 amp power supply. After 30 minutes it was reading 101 degrees which was more acceptable to me. Yeah, it's big and ugly but I had a convenient place to hide it below the sign for this application. Another reviewer had created a black background for their sign and I thought that was a great idea so I did the same. Next, I didn't like the provided chain to hang the sign with so I moved the hanging loops on the back of the sign to some lower screw points and then used black drywall screws to hang them on - so everything is hidden. Finally, the inline switch was not going to work for me since the sign was going high on the wall above my garage (Man Cave) cabinets and I didn't want to use a ladder to turn the sign on and off all the time. I got a Feit Electric 15 amp WiFi smart outlet and tested it also; it didn't get hot at all. Now I turn on the sign by saying to my phone, "Hey Google, turn on the sign in the Man Cave" and click, it's on. I'd give the sign five stars if not for the scary hot power supply; it's clearly inadequate. One would think a good seller would read these reviews and take care of that problem by including a better power supply. ... show more

    • Cool Sign but Bad Manufacturing
I got this as a Christmas gift for my mom. Im happy with the lighting the sign produces, its very bright and vibrant, however there are quite a few chips going around the edges of the black plastic part. It seems as though whatever machine was used to cut the shape of the sign must have ran into the sign a little bit and caused said gouges in the plastic. Its not enough for me to return it, especially since I wouldn't get a replacement until after Christmas, but it is something I wish I knew before buying it so I could have got a slightly different one or something. ... show more
