First, the fact that this requires no wifi is very comforting for me. I have this fear of unwanted sources being able to tap into the camera feed. This not being connected to wifi limits those chances. Second, the monitor requires no batteries... when it dies, you just plug it in & let it recharge. This is a lovely feature as my last monitor required 4 AAA batteries & they would need to be changed out way too often. Those 2 features alone make this product a winner for me. It camera itself comes with everything to mount it to the wall, perfect to position safely & securely above baby's crib. The monitor is the perfect size to fit in your pocket. The picture isn't 1080p by any means but it isn't grainy & its clear enough to know exactly what you are looking at. It features a 2 way microphone so you can talk to baby & comfort them til you are able to get to them. It also has automatic infrared nightvision that activates once the lighting becomes too dim, meaning day or night you will have visibility. Overall, this baby monitor has alot to offer at a bargain of a price. So if you are looking for a monitor that will allow you to see & talk to your baby while in another room & you're not trying to break the bank, then this is the one you want. Afterall babies are expensive & they outgrow everything so fast so why spend an arm & a leg on a baby monitor that you will only use for a couple years tops? I have been using this for about a eeek now and am happy with this item. It works great and no wifi is needed. This has helped so much with being able to get things done around the house and not have to constantly go to the bedroom every 5 mins to check up on the baby. I carry the monitor around with me everywhere I go in the house and it has a good reach. It has volume so you can hear when the baby cries. you can adjust the volume and you can also speak to the other person in the room if needed. Great price! Would recommend!! ... show more

I'm not sure what people are talking about because this works great. You can zoom in and out and adjust multiple settings on this. If you mount it with the mounting kit that comes with it to a place where you can zoom out and get a good view and then zoom in for a more specific view it gives a nice imagine. The video part is portable or plug in and can be taken a decent distance away and still get sound/video. You also get a temp reading of the room too so you can see if it is too hot/cold in the room the baby is in. ... show more

Got this monitor so my daughter would not have to transport her camera every time she brings the grandchildren over for a sleepover. The monitor has great quality and sound. Very well constructed and good battery life. I would recommend purchasing this item.

The camera quality in the product description would lead you to believe you can see your baby VERY well with this monitor but that's definitely not the case. The image is very grainy, and the camera only shows maybe 1 square foot of my son's crib. If he rolls to the other side, he's fully out of view of the camera even with it mounted at the top of the wall near the ceiling. ... show more

I found this baby monitor to be relatively standard and simple to use. I was able to easily turn on the screen. It should pretty simply pair with the screen and the camera so you can watch your baby. I previously have used a Nest camera for watching my baby that connected to my phone. This, however, uses an independent screen. It seems pretty standard as far as baby cameras, I think.
