I love this light fixture and would give it ten stars if I could. It came packed well with no damage. My husband had it up in less than 20 minutes. I have it in a stairwell, 8 feet off the stair. I put 60W, soft light, LED's in the fixture and it is perfect. The stairwell gets really dark at night because the only light comes from the window in the front door. I took a chance ordering online and could not be happier with it. The quality was excellent, it is assembled well, with no globs of material holding it together. All seams were smooth and finished. We were looking for a smaller chandelier for our foyer and this fit perfectly. I like the bronze look. We got the filament lightbulbs to complete the look. It was a great replacement for the brass and glass that was previously there!

    • Not just for industrial use!
I needed to replace a living room flush mounted fixture, circa 1970 and looking like it. I previously obtained a standing floor lamp similar to this item, and thought they would be a good pairing. They are. Note that this item comes with a rather long chain, but I decided not to use the chain, so it is almost flush mounted. It comes with 3 sockets, candelabra base. I used LED 40 w equivalent and they provide plenty of light. I'd give this 5 stars, except for the installation. True, the manufacturer sugests that you have an electrician put it up, but seriously, I've replaced plenty of fixtures before. The instructions that came with this unit were a bit difficult to understand, and as a result, I had it ALMOST mounted when I realized that the electric cord needed to be fed through the piece holding the lamp up BEFORE attaching the wires. So I had to take it down and do it again. Total time spent was about an hour 15. But I'm quite happy with the result. ... show more

This is an attractive light fixture that is a great mix of both rustic and contemporary qualities. It looks very nice, and throws off a soft, subtle light. I have received compliments on it. I do not know how easy it is to install as I paid someone to do that for me. It replaced another fixture and took only twenty minutes so I guess it is fairly easy to do. Decently made. This is a pretty fixture and decently made. It's fairly heavy as these things go, and appears to be solid metal. It has a distressed look which works well with my traditional bedroom. It won't accept more than a 40 watt bulb but if you use LED bulbs you can get a brighter light. Unless you have a lot of practice putting this kind of fixture up, you will be better off with an electrician as it's not user friendly installation. ... show more
