    • Inexpensive system that works/great customer service

We first contacted a water filtration company (not Culligan). They wanted to install a $6,000 system (minus 10% military discount). We are on a well, so I continued to research filtration systems that I could install myself. I liked the reviews on the Ispring WGB32BM. I called the company and talked to Nick. He answered all my questions. I texted a couple of more questions and always got a quick response. I ordered the system and the UVF55FS ultraviolet light filter. We have pex water lines and I installed the system myself using mostly sharkbite fittings (more expensive but much easier to use; plus the fitting can be "disassembled" if necessary). Since installation we have noticed that our skin isn't as dry, we don't have "slime" buildup (taken care of by the uv filter), the water tastes "better". (I never had a problem with the water but my wife wouldn't drink it before I installed the filters). We haven't noticed the yellow/orange stains in the sink and toilet. The dogs seem to have noticed a difference as well (we keep two water bowls, one filled with store bought water and one with tap water. The dogs always favored the store bought but now drink equally out of both. I took the caution of not tightening the filter canisters too much just a bit too literally and had some leaks in the beginning. So I unscrewed them, hand tightened and then tightened 1/4 turn with the wrench and haven't had any leaks since. The only negative is the filters (except the sediment) are heavy. Add the weight of the canisters and they can be hard to handle. That's without them being filled with water, which there isn't a way to drain them when it is time to replace the filters (they drain some when you unscrew them but are still very heavy). Plus they are long, so trying to unscrew them and hold to keep them from falling is tricky. With the uv filter and fittings I have less than $1,000 invested. I will figure out some way to make changing the filters easier before that time comes. Overall we are very happy with the system. ... show more

I ordered this and some other filters for our system because they were in desperate need of being replaced. Our water pressure was reduced to just a trickle because the filters were overdue to be replaced. At first we weren't sure why we were having the water pressure issue because our system was installed just 6 months ago. I decided to try Ispring brand because I've been happy with their products in the past and our filters that came with our system didn't seem so great. When this arrived it was broken and had carbon all over the box. My husband knew how desperate I was for the water pressure issue to be fixed so he shoved the broken pieces together, installed it, and told me later that it arrived broken. Even with the broken filter, our water was better than before. When he told me it was broken and he didn't know how long it would last, I contacted the company. Michele from Ispring immediately sent us a new filter. I have been very pleased with Ispring products so far and greatly appreciate wonderful customer service. We will continue to use Ispring products in the future because they have good products, they stand behind them, and take great care of their customers! ... show more
