Decent price compared to others. I work on an indoor range, and these must be worn underneath heavier duty ear muffs or else you'll go deaf. Outside though they work very well by themselves. I've listened to music with them a bit and still haven't had to charge them. Turning on the feature that cancels out loud noise while making quiet noises louder, doesn't seem to work very well as there is lots of static. That's not something that usually works well for an indoor range anyways though. ... show more

    • They really work!
I ordered these for the range and hunting. I ended up using them for that, and the gym, listening to music and cancelling all other noises. They work fantastic with a couple notable exceptions. The right ear bud pod split at the seem. I super glued it back together and it's been fine since. I don't use the foam ear plugs, I use the rubber ones that look like a triflange ear plug. They work amazingly well. I shoot, my ears don't ring. They cancel noise incredibly well. I was skeptical at first. What's awesome is I can wear these for hunting, still hear everything going on around me, and if I have to fire a shot, I don't have to worry about blowing my ears out. Before, it was a matter of hunting with earplugs in, and not hearing or no ear plugs, and risking hearing damage. These solve both problems. Not only that, but they have about 10hrs of battery life. They connect to my phones blue tooth almost instantly, the sound quality of played music is very good for what they are. You can't expect premium Bose quality, they aren't for that. But if you want to listen to some Aerosmith at the range because you otherwise couldn't with regular ear plugs, they are fantastic. The sound amplification is pretty spectacular also. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing such a thing. In fact, I have. I'd even get another set for myself. One thing, I'd also recommend the replacement rubber earplug tips. These are really great earbuds for shooting. Easy to pair, good sound, excellent isolation and noise cancellation features. Pass-trough feature also works great. They fulfill all my needs for hearing protection while hunting and at range. From what i've had these are best so far.

    • Nice Ear Buds
I've been a range master for over 17 years and this is my first pair of ear buds. I've had numerous pairs of the electronic muffs and love them. You can hear everything that is going on on the range. These seem to work very well, they block out the shots and enhance your hearing ability. Not as much as the muffs do but enough to hear what's going on around you. I wish the cable from the buds to the controls were a little longer so you can see what you are pressing without having to take them off or doing it by feel. The on/off button is very stiff and may be this way by design, I just find it hard to push. I like the bluetooth integration, but you have to have your phone with you on the range and I generally frown upon this with clients/students. My other concern is how well does it protect the smaller bones behind the ears? The traditional muffs go over the entire ear and protect those smaller bones, these do not.     • Not the greatest, not the worst
First the good. The Bluetooth connection to an iPhone is nice and stable, and the sound quality of streamed music, and phone calls is very good. A little bad, the foam ear buds can be a bit uncomfortable if you don't get them seated just right, however once you do get them seated properly they offer excellent hearing protection to loud noise. The feature that allows you to turn on the external microphone is somewhat useful, however the sound quality is "tinny". I use these daily at work to dampen noise, and still be able to communicate without pulling out the ear plugs. It works to a degree, however if there is noise coming from all directions, the external mic is susceptible to just amplifying all that noise and missing the speech. The battery life is stellar, I work a 10 hour shift, and often have these turned on and in my ears for up to 9 hours if the shop is noisy, and the battery lasts all day without a problem. Usually those 9 hours would including streaming music, using the external mic for conversation, and some phone conversations, so they definitely aren't in idle mode much of the time. The cord that connects the earbuds together is for me, just right. Not so long that they are constantly pulling out of my ears or getting wound up in a collar, and not so short as to put too much weight on my ears. The quality of the overall construction does seem to be a bit, well, cheap. However time will tell on that, so far they have been used an average of 30 hours a week for a month now--killing noise while being able to listen to a book or music is awesome--without any bits falling off or breaking. They do come with a nice carrying case, and while its a bit bulky, I find I use it daily to protect the earbuds while not in use. Edit: Had the earbuds fail suddenly, contacted ISO for help. They quickly warrantied them and sent out a new set. Entire process took just a couple days with an email or two, and the rest of the time was shipping. I have to say, I was impressed by their customer service. I have also had a chance to do more testing at the shooting range with these, and they work excellent for me.
