I got my first pair, and had serious problems with the Bluetooth. I could connect my phone, and it would play music only when I was holding the phone within a foot of the headset. As soon as I dropped the phone into my pocket, the music started cutting out. I contacted customer support (via email), and they got back to me within 24 hours, with some suggestions. I tried it, but still didn’t work. They shipped me a new set, with a return envelope for the old one. New one works great. I also mentioned that I had small ear canals and the earbuds didn’t fit in my ears. With the new unit, they sent a packet of different tips that don’t come with the factory package, at no charge. The new smaller tips work great. Now as for the function of the headset itself. The sound quality isn’t anything to write home about, but it’s not crap either. The amplification feature is interesting. It amplifies EVERYTHING. While testing them at full amplification, I could hear the water running inside the pipes in the wall. My garage door opener was so loud, I thought it was broken. And last but not least, the loud noise cancellation. It worked great. In fact it worked so good, it was flawless. The speed at which it cut the sound, and brought it back to normal, was so fast that I didn’t even know it happened, other than I didn’t hear a loud noise when I fired my pistol.

I specifically only like the type of ear buds that run wires to the main unit which I can wear around my neck. I don’t like the all in one type like air pods style so that didn’t leave me a ton of choices. I have been using the walker razor x retractable which are around a 180 bucks. The way these work and all shooting ear buds is basically you have a foam ear plug that silences the sound like any other $2 foam ear plug. However they have a microphone built in to amplify conversation etc. When a sudden loud noise like a gun shot happens they basically shut off the microphone and your left with the foam ear plug with no power to it so silence sounds like any other foam ear plug. With that said, any brand will sound the same silenced. There is no brand that silences sounds better than another because they all rely on a foam ear plug. Where the difference lies is a good brand is quicker to silence and has a better microphone to pick up sounds when you need it as well as good audio control, comfort and battery life. So let’s get into it, especially compared to the walkers I have been using for a long time. 1. Power cut off to silence sudden loud sounds: no difference than the walkers. Almost instantaneous. A+ 2. Microphone: much better than the walkers at being able to pick up conversation. Almost as good as the big bulky over the head and ear type of headphones which are the best because of the design. However if you lay your check flat against a rifles buttstock to look through a scope, you can’t with the big headphones. That’s why I get these specifically. Where these are worse than the walkers is they pick up more wind noise outside however with the walkers you can’t even barely hear normal conversation. The walkers are garbage as far as that goes. A- 3. Audio control: the volume from completely off to the next level up where the microphone picks up stuff is way too much of a big gap. You either hear nothing like a cheap $2 foam plug or go to loud, louder or loudest on the settings. The walker def has these beat here. C 4. Comfort: not as comfortable as the walkers. They have a loop that goes over your ear and the wires are not long enough to rest on your neck so they kinda hang there. There is a clothes hook that comes with them however to attach it to a collar etc. The walkers have a neck brace type apparatus that lays on your neck with only a wire going to the ear plugs. An awesome setup. Still, the isotunes are not bad at all and you barely notice them. B Battery life: here is where the walkers really are horrible. Can’t get more than an hour and a half without it dying shutting off. The ISOtunes last much much longer. How long? I don’t know yet but after a 4 hour range session the ISOtunes were still going strong. A+ They both have excellent Bluetooth connectivity. Overall, The ISOtunes are def much better than the walkers. You can actually hear when people are talking to you and they don’t die after 90 minutes. Comfort although slightly less is similar. It’s a small gap unlike the battery life and mic clarity. I would buy the ISOtunes again in a heartbeat. Hopefully they last a while and don’t die on me within a few months. I will update any long term observations

I ordered these for the range and hunting. I ended up using them for that, and the gym, listening to music and cancelling all other noises. They work fantastic with a couple notable exceptions. The right ear bud pod split at the seem. I super glued it back together and it's been fine since. I don't use the foam ear plugs, I use the rubber ones that look like a triflange ear plug. They work amazingly well. I shoot, my ears don't ring. They cancel noise incredibly well. I was skeptical at first. What's awesome is I can wear these for hunting, still hear everything going on around me, and if I have to fire a shot, I don't have to worry about blowing my ears out. Before, it was a matter of hunting with earplugs in, and not hearing or no ear plugs, and risking hearing damage. These solve both problems. Not only that, but they have about 10hrs of battery life. They connect to my phones blue tooth almost instantly, the sound quality of played music is very good for what they are. You can't expect premium Bose quality, they aren't for that. But if you want to listen to some Aerosmith at the range because you otherwise couldn't with regular ear plugs, they are fantastic. The sound amplification is pretty spectacular also. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone needing such a thing. In fact, I have. I'd even get another set for myself. One thing, I'd also recommend the replacement rubber earplug tips. I keep an extra pair in the green protective case that the system comes in.

Even the smallest plugs feel very thick and scratchy in my ears. Very uncomfortable when wearing for hours at a time. As plugs they work very well, just like having normal in ear soft plugs. When I turn the Bluetooth on it connects and does well passing the sound through. Conversations sound very clear. I was not able to test with gun shots but I wear ear plugs frequently for my job because I work around machinery. These are NO GOOD for blocking out machinery! No matter the setting of background noise it creates a humming in the ear that gives me a headache. I like the idea and this is a good start but it still needs some work.
