I recently took up the hobby of carnivorous plants and have been spending more time outside. I also have a really irrational phobia of wasps! One day I went to water some pitcher plants and a wasp popped out and came at me. I ran away and lost my footing and fell pretty hard on the pavement. So I got this jacket to help me feel safe while I’m outside tending to my plants and it’s been so helpful. The zippers break almost immediately and have to be "bent" back into shape (using pliers) periodically while using.

This is a plain cotton bee jacket at a very low price. As an experienced beekeeper, this would be ok for sting protection. The zippers are very basic quality but still functional. Very good for occasional use but suggest you get a more durable one if you’re very actively beekeeping.

This is a great bee keepers jacket and hood. Great price! Saw several that cost more but didn’t offer much more. Plus the hood is very nice, it doesn't cave in and touch your face exposing you face to bee stings. I would highly recommend!

First time using attached hood. Takes a bit to get used to, but it's pretty convenient. Pockets could be deeper. Front zipper pull is on the left side instead of the right.

This is a great half bee suit. Easy to put on and really works well. I just added a deep to my first hive and did not get stung at all. I wore gloves and put the elastic over my wrists and also a sweatshirt under and a pair of sweatpants over my jeans. My only complaint is it's a little on the small side. I wear a 2X and this was tight. But I'm also losing weight so hoping it will fit better next time I use it. Definitely worth the $20.

The first one received had the hood sewn on crooked so the face screen was not completely forward. Too uncomfortable to wear. They replaced it and the new one is nice. The fabric is heavy and not very breathable but I believe it will protect you from stings. Plenty of room in the head area. I ordered 'XL' even though I am a Ladies's 'M/L' because I wasn't sure how accurate the sizes were and I welcomed extra room, if possible. It is roomy for me and that's what I was looking for. I would recommend this beekeeping jacket.
