I used this for my window boxes that usually dry up in the summer heat from lack of water. I was thrilled to find a watering system that doesn’t require me to leave the hose on! It was a bonus that it is also solar powered, so no electric either. I was delighted at how easy it was to set up. This little device has me gushing to every one that I talk to about how great my flowers look. I have a rain barrel that I use for the water source. This summer was very hot and dry, this little device beeps when it’s out of water. I just filled up the barrel and was set for another couple weeks. Did I mention how great my flowers looked! It's pretty simple which is nice since I don't feel like having an app for everything. I decided to mount it to a 5 gallon bucket which works great and provides water for a few days to a week depending on how much you want to water. It's basically worked though one full season and I haven't had any issues. The only thing I wish it had was a cancel/skip next watering button for rainy days and adjusting the time of day to water. ... show more

I used this outside for a long trip and it worked great, all the potted plants looked great when I returned. It took some time to set up the first time but probably just me over analyzing how to arrange the pots, mostly larger, before installing. It does have an issue with draining from gravity if you have the pump above the outlets in the pots so be sure it’s below. I used a large bucket of water and the water shutoff worked good once empty. Only downside to these types of devices for vacationers is that you have to keep close to the same config of pots for your next vaca or buy new tubing. Using a lighter for just a couple seconds on the tube ends really helped put the tips on. Solar charger worked great, I had it several feet away staked in the dirt, closer to where it could get max sun. Glad I bought it! ... show more

I bought this because I was going on vacation a few times and I needed something to water my deck plants. We have a lot of power outages where I live, so solar was a great option. I used a five gallon bucket. However, it only lasted 5-6 days, watering my plants twice a day, for 5 minutes. I had 4 large pots (3-4 pegs in) and one small pot (two watering pegs). I used all 15 watering pegs. I decided to only set it for one time a day, for 5 minutes of watering. I left for eight days. My plants were still alive, but they were not happy and I lost a few, but not all. I suggest use a bigger bucket of water if you are leaving longer than 5-6 days and need more watering time. ... show more

Product arrived in just a few days and in good order. I hooked this up and tested on just a couple of indoor houseplants to get a feel of how it might work if I were to hook up 4 plants and leave home for a month. I set it to the lowest possible setting, which is to run for 5 minutes every 24 hours. I timed it and it did run for 5 minutes. The water output, however, was much greater than I was expecting. Before the 5 minutes was up, the pots were overflowing below into the trays I had set up underneath the pots. So if this were to run every day, the indoor plants would be saturated. I then tested the output quantity by running the emitters into a pitcher and after 5 minutes of running, they put out 24 oz (3 cups) of water. Adding that much water to a few houseplants every day is too much. Therefore I cannot recommend this for indoor vacation watering. It would be much better if it could be set to come on every 72 hours instead of 24 hours. That said, I think this system will work nicely for outdoor use and plan to set it up for that purpose once the weather gets into planting season. While at home, I can push the off button if I feel the plants are getting too much water, or if rain is predicted. And if leaving home for a few days, it would be ok leaving it on as the excess water would just seep into the ground. Just have to make sure that the reservoir source holds enough water for the duration of my absence. ... show more

The product was fairly easy to set up, and worked immediately with the solar panel. The piping was easy to cut but took a bit of elbow grease to wedge onto the intake valve and filter. Once they're on gough, you're good to go. I am using a 5 gallon bucket to dispense water from and it works great! The irrigation system includes a filter, so no need to worry about debris clogging the intake. The system also allows you to set a custom timer based on how often you need watering, and can water up to 20 plants. I personally really like the slow drip system, which soaks the soil over time and prevents it from washing away. The center tomato in the picture was suffering from over watering, so I'm glad I will have this new system to help rescue it! Highly recommend to anyone who struggles gardening or just wants peace of mind while on vacation. ... show more

This plant watering system is super helpful for watering my many plants on my plant shelf. As you can see on the picture I have 10 plants on this shelf and getting to them to water is difficult. Set up was not too bad, I found rather than pushing harder on the hoses it's easier to just keep lightly rubbing them on and they get there eventually. I'm really glad to have it. My main tip is that the water comes through each hose at the same speed, so if one plant needs more water than the others, you should have more hoses go to that plant. Pros: Powerful pump that puts out water fast. Can water many plants at the same time. Unit and hoses can nearly disappear among the plants. Easy to fill and run. Very reasonably priced. Saves me time. No more spilling water on my decorations on the plant shelf. Even watering among plants. Cons: it pumps so fast that before we have reached the 5 minute minimum timer, it's already gone through half a gallon which is all my plants need to a couple days, so the time isn't really that helpful. However I just fill up my jar, and turn it on, then I turn it off when it has gone through all the water. Super easy. Overall this is a total win. ... show more
