This is my second desk like this
Size: 55 inches Color: Vintage Brown
I bought my son one for christmas about 2 years ago without the shelf. I bought this one with the shelf for me. I have not put it together yet but I gave 5 stars for easy to assemble because the only difference from my sons is the shelf and his was really easy to put together. I just used my cheap cordless screwdriver to put it together. Sturdy doesn't describe this, it is so strong, doesn't wobble, a little heavy to move but that is fine with me, just a very sturdy desk. I like all of the other furniture that matches it like the coffee and end tables and shelving, might get some of them too. ... show more

One Important Design Flaw
Size: 55 inches Color: Black
Just assembled the desk. It seems sturdy enough, and while it was somewhat easy to assemble, there is one design flaw I wish I’d known about as it might have been a deal breaker: you cannot swap it so that the computer is on the left leg, and the two planks are on the right. It’s impossible to tell looking at pictures and at 3D representations, but there’s only one side each leg the boards can be screwed into until flush. Because there are only holes in the back of two leg pieces for the support cross bar to be attached in the back of the desk, and there’s only so far the cross bars will reach, you cannot swap anything around. The only way to have space on the left for your computer is if A) it happens to be tiny enough to sit on one of shelves, or B) you have to forfeit the shelving space you paid for. The space I occupy only allows for power to come from one side of the desk, so now I have to figure out a way to extend the UPC’s reach to avoid having half a dozen cables stretched across the back of the desk. It makes no sense to me to have it designed this way. ... show more

Best desk I ever had!
Size: 55 inches Color: Vintage Brown
It's my favorite spot in the world now. I can lay out all my work for the day. If you make sure that you tighten all the bolts at the end, it becomes really stable and doesn't wabble. I have a TV and a monitor and sunlamp on the top shelf of it, and no fears of it collapsing or stuff falling off. The keyboard is at the right height and the keyboard stand is adjustable. With my monitor it stands a bit tall for proper ergonomics but not too bad, doesn't give neck strain. Paired with a good chair with adjustable arm rests (as unless you get an attachment platform for your mouse, you will have to use the mouse on the top of the desk.) Anyways, I love this desk! ... show more

Sturdy, monitor shelf will multiple monitor stands BUT keyboard drawer TOO NARROW
Size: 63 inches Color: Vintage Brown
Sturdy, monitor shelf will multiple monitor stands BUT keyboard drawer TOO NARROW. .Keyboard drawer is a little under 24", which is about 3" too narrow to comfortably work with a full size keyboard and mouse. I had to spend another $60 for a clamp on keyboard drawer/shelf, so unless your keyboard does not have the standard numeric/arithmetic keys on the right side you will need a larger drawer. A re-design to add 3" to the keyboard drawer is called for. This is a strong argument for testing a prototype before production. Plusses are easy assembly and a Very Stout monitor shelf that easily handles several clamp on monitor stands with large, heavy monitors. ... show more

Keyboard tray is low, but otherwise great fit!
Size: 55 inches Color: Vintage Brown
This problem won't be an issue for everybody, but the keyboard tray is low for me and typing is more comfortable on the desktop itself, so I use it more for keyboard storage than anything else. I might remove it later on if it ends up being more of a hinderance than a helpful feature, but other than that hiccup this is a wonderful desk that would be a great addition to any home office! ... show more

I like my monitors lower/closer and use the shelf for other things. It matches the book cases I purchased and I’m excited to get my office put together

Nice looking desk!
Size: 55 inches Color: Vintage Brown
Great looking desk, easy enough to put together. Keyboard drawer slides out great. The monitor stand sets a bit high for my chair and it can't be adjusted. Enough room on the desk to fit my synths and audio interface. Comfortable to sit at. It was sturdy enough until we put it on the moving truck, now the back beams are a bit loose. Love it to death though. ... show more
