  • This product is not reliable
Style: 16.5 CFM
The compressor worked fine for 4 months then completely shut down. getting through to Iron Horse's customer service is simply impossible. I would never recommend this product. Just don't buy it.

  • So far so good
Style: 16.5 CFM
Compressor arrived as described. It was filed with compressor oil before being shipped. It reaches pressure quickly and has no trouble keeping up with my demand for air. I use a small sand blaster occasionally, pneumatic needle scale, dual action sander. I use the compressor a couple times a week at most. Noise level is high, I wouldn't say excessively loud. It's definitely louder than an Ingersoll rand but nowhere near as loud as an oil less compressor ... show more

  • Five Stars

  • More work was required than expected.
Style: 16.5 CFM
The reason I gave this 3 stars, is because the item was assembled poorly. 4 of the fittings leaked right away. I had to take every fitting apart and I added teflon tape to each one. The fitting from the tank is 1/4". Not the best size for blowing out a sprinkler system, but it worked. I would have liked to see a 3/8" fitting there and let me adapt to the 1/4" so I can have more volume when I need it. Part if the issue was there were no reviews and I couldn't find any website that had any info to help make a more informed decision. Other than that, it has worked as expected. ... show more

  • Iron Horse 60-Gallon Compressor
I had mine for one year and two months. I used it maybe 17 times before a rod broke. Eagle who made this pile of junk will not help me they do not care. I would give it no stars. you get what you pay for!

  • Solid performer so far
Bought one of these from a local retailer about 3 years ago. I have ran sand blasters, paint sprayers and multiple impact tools and it has been running strong since first put into service. The motor on it, I feel like is more of a 3.5 hp instead of 6.5 like described although it pumps up quickly. I bought this unit because of the V configuration compressor to better cool than some of the competitors. I broke it in once I bought (ran it open for a couple of minutes) then drained the oil and filled it with Ingersol Rand compressor oil. I also added an IR drain valve to the bottom of it for easier water draining (it comes with a petcock although it is rather difficult to get to on the bottom). So far so good, I hope it keeps running good! ... show more

  • Dead on arrival
I bought this for my new shop about 3 months ago. Now shop is finished and went to hook it up and the motor is dead on arrival. Going to attempt to get the manufacturer to fix it. Hopefully they are a stand up company.

  • Iron Horse 60 gallon compressor
I bought this compressor to replace my portable 8 gallon unit. I want to spray paint and sand blast car parts. My 8 gallon was not able to do much of anything but blow up tires and sport balls. This unit has more than enough capacity to do it all in a home garage setup. I set the system up with an in line drier, lubricator and pressure regulator on a 50' x 1/2 " retractable hose. I ran a separate 12 gauge 240 volt line from a 20 amp 2 pole breaker in my panel and fired it up. This compressor started first time and shutoff at 150#. It has worked perfectly now for 3 months. The unit is quieter than my 8 gallon. Great compressor for the price. ... show more
