They feel very durable. The size for me personally was true to size. I've always been a fan of Irish Setters. Love the wedge sole because my arches have fallen some and this keeps them from hurting as the boot breaks down. What they don't seem to talk about here is what makes the HD version different. The toe on top and in front of the boot are covered in rubber that matches pretty close the leather of the boot. If you zoom in you can see it. For those of us who are hard on the toe of a boot but hate the way the aftermarket toe guard looks, these are fantastic. ... show more

These boots are very nice ,having owned Red Wings before I knew they would be comfortable,but they feel almost broken in the first time I put them on,i also bought some leather oil for them to keep the stitching from rotting,and the leather soft ,I've owned Danners also and these to me are just as comfortable if not more,and they are waterproof which is a huge plus,and the look of the Black leather with the white soles are very Sexy,of your on the fence about these boots get off , you'll get hurt up there,buy them . ... show more

I always buy my husband Irish Setter boots. Never have had an issue with the boot stitching coming undone. Boots are only 5 months old. The soles are worn out.
