Speeds tested at 2.6 Gbps for my quest 3 and it is USB 3. The cord is decently thick so you might not get good flexibility but the 16ft length negates that issue for me. While I was playing through meta horizon link on steamvr for around 2 hours, I only lost 20% battery so it does power the headset a little bit. I bought this Syntech link cable to connect my Meta Quest to my PC, and after spending some time with it, I have mixed feelings about its performance. On the positive side, the design and physical build of the cable are excellent. The length is perfect for room-scale gaming, giving me plenty of space to move around without feeling yanked or restricted. The fit into the headset port is very snug and secure, so I never worry about it accidentally slipping out mid-game. It also feels quite durable and sturdy, like it can handle being stepped on or twisted during intense sessions, which makes it feel like a good value for the money initially. However, the actual performance reveals some clear drawbacks. The data transfer speed is generally okay, but it can be noticeably slow and inconsistent at times, causing occasional stutters in the visuals. Stability is another issue, as the connection sometimes feels a bit finicky during heavy gameplay. The biggest letdown is the power delivery because it does not charge the headset very much while you are playing. Instead of keeping the battery topped up or even holding it steady, the headset battery still drains pretty quickly, just slightly slower than playing fully wireless. The weight of the cable is also a bit noticeable, pulling down on the side of the headset during long sessions. I bought this Syntech 20FT link cable to use with my Meta Quest setup for PCVR gaming, and overall it’s been a reliable and cost-effective alternative to the official cable. The 20-foot length is a huge advantage and the white color matches my VR headset perfectly. It gives you enough room to actually move and play without feeling restricted or constantly tugging on the PC connection. For seated or standing VR setups, that extra slack makes a noticeable difference in comfort and immersion. Build quality feels good for the price. The cable has some weight to it (as expected for a 20ft USB cable), but it still remains flexible enough to manage during gameplay. I didn’t experience any immediate connection issues when plugged into a proper USB 3.0 port, and it held a stable connection during normal VR sessions. Data transfer and responsiveness have been solid. In PCVR use, games loaded and ran smoothly with no obvious lag or stuttering when the connection was stable. It performs like a proper USB 3.0 link cable should when your PC setup is compatible. One thing to be aware of is cable management. Because of the length, it’s easy for it to get in the way or add drag if you don’t route it properly. A ceiling pulley or clip system would make a big difference if you plan to move around a lot in VR. Also worth noting — like many long link cables — performance can depend heavily on your USB port and PC configuration. Best cable ive bought off amazon. Not only do i use this for my quest but also for tablet and phone. For whatever reason its outlasted several other cables ive bought, some were even more expensive. It fits electronics very well and has good solid transfer rate for data.

Don’t get me wrong, when this cable works, it does great, nothing to complain about! However, after using it for a few months it later broke because of how much bend it took from me putting it on my headset and spinning around. It doesn’t even function as a normal USB-C cable anymore and I just had to throw it away. It was great when it worked, but you might want to get a more sturdier cable than this or just go for an air link option. ... show more
