While wearing these boots at work, a piece of machinery bumped a valve that way approximately 800 pounds road and landed on my foot and that composite toe save my foot from being crushed. I was still hurt, but if that composite toe wouldn’t have been there, it would’ve been a whole different story.

Bought these for my husband who works construction. He needed new insulated boots that would hold in the snow and colder weather. He’s had these for a while now and they’re still holding up. Good shoes but expensive.

They're sturdy, comfortable and fit right. Usually wear a 8.5d in thorogood boots and as an ironworker I wanted an insulated wedge sole for winter so I went with the same size and they fit great. Love the color and feel of the leather.

    • Don’t follow the sizing chart
Sizing chart is way off. My foot measures 11.75” heel to toe. The chart suggests size 13. I typically wear a 15 in work boots. With the insulation I needed a 15. The wedge sole has no bending action to it. Feels as if someone screwed a 2x6 to the bottom of my foot when walking. Quality seems good and they look great. ... show more
