  • Run about .5 bigger than most
Size: 12 Color: Black
Im a size 12, these feel like 12.5..but will be just fine when I put gel insoles inside!

  • Accurate size, good quality, nice looking heavy duty work boots Accurate size, good quality, nice looking heavy duty work boots
Size: 13 Wide Color: Brown
These feel like durable boots and are built heavy with a steel toe. I ordered the wide and most of the time I don’t wear wide shoes, but since they were available here, I decided to give them a try. They don’t feel overly big inside, but there’s room to wear thick socks. Aside from that, the sizing is accurate and good for me. I was very pleased to receive these and have them be sized right. I don’t usually like the light colored shoe soles because they look dirty quick and on work boots it does seem a little bit unhelpful. While these are new, the color combination is nice looking. The exterior of the boots is soft rather than slick, and the stitching appears to be very well done and accurate with three lines of stitching on some critical seams. The sole of these boots is stiff and rigid, like heavy backpacking boots. I like stiff boots like this for working in because they feel supportive and protective in the event I might step on something sharp. Noticed the tread pattern is shallow and absence of large lugs like hiking boots. These boots seem like they would be better used on concrete or other indoor type surfaces. The bottom of the boot does say slip/oil resisting. The sole does feel like a foam type material that isn’t totally smooth. I could see how they might not be as slick on some surfaces as a more rubber like material. There is a modest amount of arch support in these. I would actually prefer a higher arch. However, that might be able to be achieved with an insole upgrade. The insoles that came with these boots are basic and minimal. I’ve seen this before when it’s very typical for people to put better insoles in their shoes therefore not much is given with the shoes. I myself will probably put better in souls in these because generally, it does make my boots, more comfortable and supportive for standing long periods of time on concrete. I think this will be easy to do because the boots are roomy inside for an additional thicker insole and also thick winter socks. Overall, I really like these boots and most every way. They feel like excellent quality, durable work boots and look attractive. Even the logo is cool. And I didn’t realize it until I saw it on the box that this brand is made by Red Wing shoes, which gives me more confidence in the quality of these work boots. ... show more

  • Great Value and Solid Protection, but Runs a Bit Large
Size: 8 Color: Black
I really like a lot about these boots. The build quality feels solid, the full grain leather is durable, and they definitely feel like they are made for real work. I’ve been using them for yard work and general outdoor tasks, and they’ve held up very well so far. The steel toe gives good protection, and the slip resistance is actually noticeable when working on uneven or wet ground. The value for the price is also great. You are getting a tough, safety rated work boot that feels like it should cost more than it does. The main downside for me is the fit. Even though I ordered my normal boot size, there is a bit too much room in the toe area, which makes them feel slightly loose. They still work fine for standing and walking, but running or more fast movement in them would not be comfortable. They also take a while to break in. Out of the box they felt pretty stiff, and while they do loosen up over time, it takes longer than expected. By the time they fully break in, they don’t look quite as sharp as when they are new, but I understand that is pretty normal for work boots. Overall, great durability and value, just be aware of the sizing and break-in period. ... show more

  • Beautiful boots that are steel toe AND slip resistant!! Beautiful boots that are steel toe AND slip resistant!!
Size: 9.5 Color: Black
I got these boots for my son who works construction and is required to have steel toe boots. But when they came, they almost looked too nice to be work boots. These things are gorgeous! The leather is so soft. And it’s flawless. The stitching is just beautiful. They don’t look flawless forever when you’re working in them, but first impressions were pretty impressive. They were also well packaged in a nice box! (Great for gifting). I most definitely understand why these are priced the way they are! (I could actually see them being higher). Yes, they’re heavy! But all steel toe boots are heavy… That’s what comes with a boot that’s supposed to protect your foot. He typically wears a size 9, but he likes to size his boots half a size up because he wears thick socks with them. The 9 1/2 fits him perfectly. The nonslip sole was an added bonus! He isn’t required to have that for work, but it works out well for him. The only thing he was concerned about was that there was some stitching on the sole of the shoe… His other pair of steel toe boots do not have that he felt like perhaps the soles of these shoes would be less durable as a result. He hasn’t worn them enough for them to “wear out“ but if they don’t last as long as we anticipate them lasting, then I can come and update this review. But as of right now… These things are awesome! They’re beautiful! They’re comfortable. And we are happy with them. ... show more

  • extremely comfortable work boots, made of premium materials that hold up to the elements extremely comfortable work boots, made of premium materials that hold up to the elements
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
As a parent wanting the absolute best protection for my son just starting out in construction, choosing the Irish Setter Pipestone work boots, with its parent company being the well known Red Wing brand, was an easy decision. Knowing he is protected by such a trusted, high quality name gives me such peace of mind. These boots were an absolute game changer for him. My son mentioned they fit true to size for him right out of the box, and the ankle support is incredibly sturdy with a nice weighted feal to them without being restrictive. The best part about these boots is that his feet don’t hurt at the end of long, grueling days on the job. Unlike other boots he’s worn in the past that caused him discomfort and pain, these provide the cushioning he needs to keep going. With these boots you can really feel the premium materials here. These aren't just comfortable, they are built for the job. They meet all the ASTM safety standards, including Electrical Hazard resistance and a reliable Steel Safety Toe. I also love the build quality, the one piece unitize a durable yet soft polyurethane sole meaning we don't have to worry about the outsole and midsole delaminating or coming apart. The tred traction is well designed, offering some excellent slip resistance, which is absolutely essential for safety. Overall these leather work boots have been holding up great so far, and they clearly offer real value. It’s an investment in his comfort and safety that I know will last for years to come. Highly recommended for anyone in the trades! ... show more

  • Solid, comfortable work boots. True to size & very stylish
Size: 7 Color: Black
I ordered these Irish Setter Pipestone steel-toe boots for on-site work and they’ve been great so far. I bought my usual size and they fit true to size (if you buy the unisex listing, note women often size down ~1.5 sizes as the listing suggests). The full-grain leather feels sturdy and well-stitched, and the padded ankle collar makes them comfortable during long periods on my feet. Performance notes: the EVA footbed gives decent cushioning out of the box but is basic — I swapped in aftermarket insoles for extra arch support and longer shifts. The wedge rubber outsole is stable and performs well on concrete and indoor surfaces; tread is shallower than hiking boots so these are best for construction/industrial work rather than muddy trails. The steel toe is protective without feeling clumsy. Break-in: there was a short break-in period, after which the leather softened up nicely. Construction looks high-quality (Goodyear welt + resolable sole), so these should last with proper care. Who this is for: great choice if you want a safety-rated, durable work boot that fits true to size and offers reliable protection on job sites. ... show more

  • Nice boots!
Size: 10.5 Wide Color: Black
First Impression When I first pulled these out of the box, the quality of the full-grain leather was the first thing I noticed. They have that rugged, heavy-duty feel you expect from a real work boot, and the stitching looks clean and reinforced in all the high-stress areas. Specifications These are Irish Setter Pipestone unisex work boots featuring a steel safety toe. They are constructed with premium full-grain leather and designed for heavy industrial or outdoor work environments. Pros I love the boots—the quality is top-notch. The steel safety toe provides solid protection without feeling like it’s crushing your foot, and the leather breaks in nicely after a few shifts. They are very good and durable, standing up well to constant movement on hard surfaces and resisting the usual scuffs and scrapes of a busy job site. Cons Since they are heavy-duty leather with a steel toe, they have a bit of weight to them, which might lead to some leg fatigue if you aren't used to a substantial boot. Also, the factory insoles are a little stiff, so you might want to swap them out if you're pulling double shifts. My Overall Thoughts I really like the build on these. It’s a solid, well-made piece of gear that feels like it’s actually meant to protect your feet rather than just look the part. They handle moisture well and the traction on the soles is reliable even when things get a bit slick underfoot. Suggestions for Improvement Including a slightly more cushioned anti-fatigue insole from the factory would make these perfect right out of the box. Recommendation I’d definitely recommend these to anyone who needs a reliable, long-lasting safety boot that can handle a serious workload day in and day out. ... show more

  • Beautiful and Classic! Beautiful and Classic!
Size: 7 Color: Brown
It is beautiful and classic! Just a bit heavier than I expected but this is a boot primary for construction site and providing steel toe, so this is understandable. Beside, the leather is top notch. I do recommend ordering a size up for more comfy as the design is a bit tight.
