I took a 2 mile walk in them with my dog running alongside, and they felt terrific. They felt comfortable on my foot while driving, and like a part of my foot while walking. I've tried many different steel toe cowboy boots, but Irish setters are by far my favorite. They feel comfortable right out of the box, and when they do break in after a week or so they form to my feet just right. I can work a 12 hour shift in these and my feet feel fine. But anything after that, they start hurting. I work hot asphalt in the summer, and walk through mud and puddles through winter and my feet never get wet. I would say the only thing about Irish Setters is they only last me personally a little over a year. I could wear them a little longer if I really had too, but after a year, I'm ready for a new pair. If your looking for comfortable these are your boots. If you work long hours every week and beat your boots, they might not last as long as you expect. Over, I would recommend. ... show more

I have had them only a little while. I had to send back the first pair because they were too short and too narrow. I moved up to 10.5 w and EE width. They feel good and I think they will last.

Wish I could give it more. I ordered this a couple of years ago and it was a significant amount of time before I tried it on. This “size 10.5” doesn’t fit a size 10.5 foot. Couldn’t even get my heel past the shaft. But, since it was too late to protest, I’ve got a seemingly good pair of boots that I’ve never worn. ... show more

Hand down recommend these boots. I work in a refrigerated warehouse either standing or walk approximately 6 to 7 hours a day.. I have several other boot brands and these have been my favorite. This is the first time I purchased non lace pull up boots and I was more than a little skeptical about the comfort level and fit. I ended up going to a Red Wing Store directly to get purposely sized and try the boots on. That was an interesting experience. They did not have this specific boot in stock but they did have a very similar one that I tried on. I dig the luck and loved the feel. Went home and ordered these. Absolutely no regrets. Definitely recommend. I don't see these boots going down any time soon but the day they do I will buy these again. ... show more

The boots fit well and are comfortable. The soles wore out in four months. They claim to be resoleable. A local cobbler quoted me $165 to resole these. These are good for light duty work at best. Too bad because I really liked the fitment.
