I've tried many different steel toe cowboy boots, but Irish setters are by far my favorite. They feel comfortable right out of the box, and when they do break in after a week or so they form to my feet just right. I can work a 12 hour shift in these and my feet feel fine. But anything after that, they start hurting. I work hot asphalt in the summer, and walk through mud and puddles through winter and my feet never get wet. I would say the only thing about Irish Setters is they only last me personally a little over a year. I could wear them a little longer if I really had too, but after a year, I'm ready for a new pair. If your looking for comfortable these are your boots. If you work long hours every week and beat your boots, they might not last as long as you expect. Over, I would recommend.

I have had them only a little while. I had to send back the first pair because they were too short and too narrow. I moved up to 10.5 w and EE width. They feel good and I think they will last.

The boots fit well and are comfortable. The soles wore out in four months. They claim to be resoleable. A local cobbler quoted me $165 to resole these. These are good for light duty work at best. Too bad because I really liked the fitment.

I'm used to boots being uncomfortable until they're broken in but... these are not the case. From day one, walking in them is a breeze. I used to have a pair of Redbacks and have been chasing the dragon ever since. These come damn close to it. Plus they look really good too. I had a pair of Ariats before these and those were ROUGH. Felt like you were walking with your feet in 2x4s. These Irish Setters are the polar opposites.

I ordered these Irish Setter boots in a true size and discovered they’re a half size too small. When I got the pair that fit, they fit perfectly. I took a 2 mile walk in them with my dog running alongside, and they felt terrific. They felt comfortable on my foot while driving, and like a part of my foot while walking. The Irish Setter Kittson boots are excellent and I highly recommend them. And remind all that they’re not a true fit but a half size small.
