This is a set of long boots that go above the ankle, just about the length of a cowboy boot. However these boots are more tactical/practical in nature, with large insulating and cushioning soles and stitching/stylish features that are more akin to hiking boots. In fact if you wear your pant leg over these boots no one will be able to guess the length. These boots fit very comfortably and are true to the size ordered, and in fact I have been preferring them to my normal shorter, lace-up boots. These are easier to put on and the added length provides protection from ticks, bugs, and spiky debris that you may find on the ground the minute you go off trail. The boots feel like shoes, they have the look of a casual boot, for protection of a rain boot, and the comfort of a long distance hiking shoe. They truly are the best of all worlds, and if you are a little worried about the length of the boot, don't be, you'll get used to it and the extra protection get for your feet as well worth putting form above fashion! Overall this is an incredible boot that I did not think I would be wearing as much as I do. They have the convenience of slip-on but the security of the well-laced, tightly tied shoe or short boot. I will admit I do put my pant leg over the boots every time as I am a little self-conscious about wearing out something so tall, but the comfort and protection I get makes it well worth it. An excellent pair of boots for your next adventure!

Irish Setter continues to make a quality boot. The Crosby boot has a mixed style I'd call work day, meets cowboy, meets motorcycle. Theres a lot going on that actually blends well together. Theres boot itself is made of full grain leather with appropriate synthetic details that give the shoes good flexibility. The boots are easy on/easy off, while still giving great support. The sizing of the boot is accurate. The toe safety is solid. The tread provides great grip. The most surprising aspect is how comfortable the boots are. After working a few 12 hour+ days in the field, the boots were solid with minimal foot fatigue. The insoles provide excellent cushion and the heel provides a nice springy step. Compared to other boots I've purchased in the past, the appearance to be well made, comfortable, solid quality with a good expected life span at a fair price.

These boots are expensive for a reason, they're definitely worth it. I like the way these boots fit and look with jeans and work pants. I have a bad ankle from rolling it and these boots give great support and help stabilize your ankle and help reduce fatigue on your knees. The way these boots are made I was able to wear my ankle brace and they still fit in the boots comfortably and the padded insole definitely made a difference for comfort. I wore these out in the rain for 3 days and the water definitely just sheds off of them and they are waterproof as advertised. These boots are constructed to be tough work boots and definitely have a well made in insole and a sides and it's the quality that you'd expect with Irish Setter boots. I like the 11 inch height because it gives you plenty of protection from the elements and like I put before it helps stabilize your ankle and knee. If you're looking for a pair of tough work boots that have a stylish look this is for you.

We recently have been getting lots of rain and these came in just in time. Hated to pry them to the test so fast but they worked out great keeping my feet dry. These boots are worth the cost! There are super comfortable for extended hours of wearing. They have great tread for traction in dry or wet situations. They have toe protection which makes these an ideal job site work boot.
