So for this money, it was very cheap. But also very cheaply made the tops don’t secure very much but for the price I’m gonna still give it five stars because again you pay for what you got. Not very sturdy, very thin plastic, but will do the job.

    • 6qt does NOT lock, the DESCRIPTION is WRONG when its described as locking lid

like other reviews have stated the 6.7qt is completely worthless if you need the lids to lock, that's probably why searched for plastic containers with locking lids. cause what's the point of a lid not locking into place? these just slide right off, you might be able to press hard enough at a 17 degree angle to get one side to lock but the minute you press the other side to lock it in place it becomes a exercise in futility. i have no idea how this company can still sell these containers while lying to customers. in fact there whole title is a lie "IRIS USA 7 Quarts Plastic Storage Container Bin with Latching Lid" there 6.7 qt not 7, but ok they rounded up. latching lid? cant get it to latch or lock on the lid no matter how much you try, its a deliberate design, or its a defective item and IRIS is unloading them on innocent amazon customers. either way i have no idea how amazon hasn't said something to the seller about it. cause at least i can count on amazon trying to do the right thing but IRIS is straight up stealing and being deceptive selling a product THAT does not do what its being sold as capable of doing. or they need to change the title to nonattachable / unlockable lids. at least that would be honest. now i know why there are so many negative reviews about the 6.7 qt containers. i immediately returned them. id prefer to burn my money then give it to deceptive product sellers. ... show more

I like that they are 100% clear. They stack well. The top is not very secure and it is thinner plastic than most of the storage containers. However I was looking to organize a cabinet of items that aren’t very heavy. I opted for these over shoeboxes because I like seeing what is inside. They are a nice size. They are not very sturdy though. Easily broken. Two lids were broken when they arrived from shipping. I transported 8 empty and 4 of those lids broke.

    • 6.7qt = Flimsy, poor fitting lids
Size: 7 Qt. - 12 Pack
The lids on the 6.7qt are too thin and do not fit as well as the larger sizes like the 14.5qt size. However, they are a lot lower cost. To organize light-weight items and keep dust out, they are okay, but they cannot be stacked and expected to remain vertical, nor do I expect them to be moisture or insect proof given the bad lids. The sidewalls and bottom seem sturdy enough for the size. I ended up using them to organize items and store them on 12” shelves, stacked only two high per shelf with the short side facing out. They overhang the shelf by 1-5/8”, which is fine for my use case as there is plenty on the shelf to keep it from falling off. The 14.5qt size sounds a lot bigger than the 6.7qt, but if storing irregular sized items in it, it fills up fast. The 14.5qt size is quite sturdy, and the container and lid are thick enough to withstand some heavy use and stack nicely. I have them stacked 4 units high on 18” wire shelving and have ordered more of this size. I like the 14.5qt size enough that I have also ordered the larger size in the hopes of storing some of my larger shop tooling in them. Iris makes some nice containers. I also have some of this brand that seal and have clasps to keep the lid on. However, the 6.7qt ones are the worst of their products I have yet seen. While the price is a lot lower, so is the quality and it falls below the threshold of what I can normally use. If only the lid was thicker, it would be well worth the price, but as is, I won’t buy any more of the 6.7qt. I suppose it would be fine for shoes under the bed, but not for daily use. ... show more

Great quality, nice and sturdy, thick; not cheap flimsy material, works exactly like I had hoped. Very easy stacking. Lid snaps shut on each handle. Multiple uses. I use for art supplies, snacks, shoes, tools, all kinds of things. Helped me organize greatly thank you.
