So for the positives. These are quite pretty and look very good in a dark room. The controller doesn't have a ton of range but I like that, it feels like I'm walking around lighting real candles because I have to be within a foot or two for the controller to work. To clarify I see the controller's short range as a nice quirky quality. The bads: The timer function is not a timer, it's a 24/hr rotating timer. Meaning if you turn it on and set it to run for 4 hours at 8am it will run from 8am to 12pm. Then the next day, without you telling it to, it will turn on by itself at 8am, and run to 12pm. This is very annoying as it causes batteries to drain when you don't want them actively on and is overall a love-it or hate-it system. If you will be using these every day at the exact same time it's a bonus, if not, it's an annoying negative. They turn on at random due to cell and bluetooth signals. I've watched a couple of these candles randomly turn on when my phone next to it received a call and when I was turning on wireless earbuds that were near to it. This is annoying as hell and battery wasting. The flicker option won't work if you put the candles in CANDLE mode, very dumb. The candle mode makes the light alternate in brightness like a real candle, but it will stop the fake flame from flickering. So you either get bright steady light with a nice looking fake flame flickering or you get a still flame with pulsing light. I don't understand this decision in programming. It also will not flicker on the lowest light setting, it has to be a minimum of 1 above that to make the flame move. I do not like nor understand these decisions. Overall I am not super unhappy, they nailed it on the physical appearance but they dropped the ball on the programming side. All these issues are the kinds of things you don't catch in short-term function testing. This is the stuff that you need longer term more thorough product testing to avoid. Likely these weird function requirements were not even conscious decisions but simply bugs in the product that were not discovered during testing if there was any. Invest the time into proper product testing. You will have happier customers that way. ... show more

    • Don’t always flicker— but always look good!

The remote has a way to turn off and on the “wiggle” in the flame— however it doesn’t seem to respond to the remote when I try to turn it on. But even without the wiggle in the flame they look amazing; and the dimmer is incredible! I didn’t know how much I needed it until I had it!
