This takes a while to actually see results, so patience is needed before expecting any real difference in hair growth. It is easy to use though, simple enough to figure out without much of a learning curve. What stood out to me, and not in a good way, is the chart showing it only works on lighter skin tones and not darker shades or caramel. That is a strange limitation to have for a device marketed this broadly, and it left me wondering why that wasn't addressed better in the design itself. On top of that, the handbook never actually listed how often it should be used for the best results. For something that requires consistency to work, leaving out a clear usage schedule isnt good but let me list some tips: You must shave before using the device. Using a hair removal cream is not the best before an IPL treatment. 🔻IPL works by targeting the melanin (pigment) in the hair follicle beneath the skin. Shaving removes the hair above the surface while leaving the root intact. This allows the light energy to travel directly down to the root to disable growth. 🔻As for haur removal creams, the chemicals completely dissolve the hair structure and can penetrate below the surface, which interferes with how the follicle absorbs the light. Also combining the harsh chemicals of a removal cream with the heat of an IPL flash significantly increases your risk of severe skin irritation, chemical burns, or allergic reactions. Also don't wax, epilate, or pluck between treatments. These methods pull the hair out by the root entirely, therefore there's no target for the laser to destroy. For the safest and most effective results, stick to a clean shave 12 to 24 hours before your session. How Often to Use It? 👍🏽Weeks 1–3: Use the device 2–3 times per week. You will begin to notice the hair starting to thin. 👍🏽Weeks 4–5: Reduce usage to 2 times per week as long-term growth begins to be inhibited. 👍🏽Weeks 6–7: Reduce usage to once a week; hair will become significantly thinner and stop regrowing. 👍🏽Week 8 and beyond: Perform 1–2 touch-ups per month (or every 4–6 weeks) as needed to maintain smooth, hair-free skin. How Long and Number of Uses Per Area 👍🏽Passes per session: You should only flash once per specific skin area per session. Flashing the exact same spot multiple times in one sitting will not speed up the process and can cause skin irritation or burns. 👍🏽Treatment time: Because of the automatic continuous flash mode, full-body sessions are fast. Small areas like the underarms or bikini line take just a couple of minutes, while a complete full-body session takes roughly 8 to 15 minutes.
