I’ll admit—I was extremely skeptical about this device. I’m a half-Italian, middle-aged woman in perimenopause, which means facial hair has become an annoying new “feature” of life. I really didn’t expect an at-home IPL tool to make much difference, but I was happily proven wrong. I’ve only used it on my face so far, and after about two months the results are real. The hair is growing in noticeably thinner and much slower, and I’m dealing with it way less often. It’s not an overnight miracle, but the gradual change has been impressive and totally worth the few minutes it takes to use. The ice-cooling feature makes it comfortable, not scary or painful like I feared. If you’re on the fence—especially if hormones have you battling stubborn hair like I am—this is absolutely worth trying. I’m honestly shocked to be saying this, but it works.

At first I doubted that it'd work. I shaved and applied 3 times/week for a month (starting from level 1 in the first week then move to level 3). I noticed hair on my leg tremendously weakened and reduced. Hair takes longer to grow back and also becomes lighter. Underarm hair is harder so it takes longer to see improvement but there's obviously change to the amount of hair. If you're patient and follow the schedule consistently, you'll end up with great result. Machine is sturdy and glitch-free. The cooling effect probably won't matter if you're in level 4-5.
