Well howdy there, keyboard cowboy. If you’ve got an iPad and even the slightest artistic itch, this stylus is definitely worth a look. I actually got this for our household’s resident frustrated artist, because I firmly believe he doesn’t draw nearly enough and I’m trying to drag that cowpoke, kicking and screaming if necessary, into the digital art age. One of the features I like most about this pen is how tilt affects the line thickness. The more you tilt the stylus, the thicker the line becomes. It ends up mimicking the natural motion artists use when pressing down on a pencil or brush for heavier strokes. Same reflexes, just tilt instead of pressure. The tips are replaceable, which is a nice practical touch. If one wears out, you simply unscrew it and put on a new one. Charging is also surprisingly flexible. You’ve got three different options. 1) Magnetic charging if you have a compatible iPad that supports it. 2) Direct charging by plugging the stylus into the iPad’s port. 3) USB cable charging using the included cable and a standard charger. I really appreciate that mix of modern convenience with a traditional drawing feel. If you're looking to turn your iPad into a portable sketchbook or art pad, this stylus does a great job of giving you the tools to do exactly that.

5 Stars for Being What it Is - A solid clone / after market pencil that appears to be great quality and value for the cost. BUT: DO NOT GET IF YOU NEED PRESURE SENSITIVE PEN. The pencil stylus is a good choice if you are looking for an inexpensive Apple Pencil. Based on my research, it is closest to the original Apple pencil. [] It has no active button or tap gesture capabilities. [] I am unable to notice if has pressure sensitivity. [] It has tilt detection and with the correct tool will draw broad strokes to thin as if you tilt the pencil and use the broad side of the lead. (see photo) [] It is comfortable and has good weight, although coming from a Samsung S-Pen background, the lack of a button on the side is a bit strange to me. [] The cap covering the USB C connection on the end has a good magnetic fit. [] There is no detectable latency in writing with the stylus. GOOD! [] If you do get this pencil and intend to use it for taking notes, you should consider getting a “paper like” screen protector. My Apple Air M3 has a glass screen protector and lacks appropriate friction comfortably take hand written notes. I had same issue with my Microsoft Surface and the Microsoft Slim Pen. Once I added a screen protector that is ‘paper like”, it was a HUGE difference in writing comfort AND neatness. The additonal friction considerably increases pen control to make it more like pen/pencil on real paper. [] Extra tips for the stylus are in the box. I have not changed any, but it appears easy to swap out. [] It magnetically connects to the side of my Air 11 m3. Fairly strong connection, but I think it would still be easily knocked off in a bag. Not as secure as my Slim Pen on my Microsoft Surface; however, stronger than the stylus connection on my Samsung S10FE. [] The stylus has one side that is flat to facilitate magnetic connection to side of tablet. I could detect no other reason for it as there are no buttons on the barrel of the Pencil. [] There is NO Bluetooth capability in the stylus. [] It is an active stylus. The one button on the stylus is solely for turning on/off the stylus. [] The Pencil feels quality and I expect it to last a while. I think it is a great value if you are unsure how much you will use a stylus... Especially good value if you don’t need pressure sensitivity for digital drawing/painting. For casual drawing with the pencil tool, the tilt functionality does provide some natural stroke variation. I have only used it for a week at this point, but have had zero problems and I have no reason to expect it would change.
