I was leery because there were no reviews, but the other products by this company seemed to have good reviews so I took the risk and bought three of these. I'm pleased with my decision. They look really sharp and it's solid wood so relatively sturdy (you can individually adjust the feet height to improve stability some). Not as depicted or expected... stain on shelves is sloppy and unevenly distributed... also, one shelf has a huge crack all the way down and another is warped badly... don’t waste your money, highly disappointed

This is a great shelf. Looks beautiful, is very sturdy and I am sure will last a long time. The only issue I had with it was the assembly. A few holes in the wooden pieces were a bit off. One of them was so off that I could not get a screw in, so I left it without a screw. The metal rods are not tight at all. They are pretty loose and make a lot of noise when the shelf is touched. Bookshelf is amazing ! Real wood not mdf or whatever crap they're making most shelves from these days. It smells a little when you open the box of shelves. Must be the finish. Smell is gone overnight. Packed very well. My advice is to check each board over carefully and choose which side you want to be in the front and which should go in the back. It's real wood, so there are knots. Also, I found one board where the finish wasn't evenly applied on the edge, but I made sure that was in the back, no biggie. Took my husband and I about 20 minutes to put together. It looks amazing ! Holds a ton of books and is very impressive looking. I had originally bought the half width, 4 shelf version of this and while that one was sturdy and beautiful also, it just looked wimpy in the large space we have for it. So we ordered this one and put the smaller one in a guest room. That's definitely a better fit for the small one and this one looks like it was made for the larger space. It's practically perfect. We didn't use the anti tip thingy, Which is two bits of plastic you hold together with a zip tie. Our 80÷ year old wood floors are far from even and we were able to get it very level and sturdy by adjusting the little feet. If you're on the fence, go for it. These shelves are over an inch thick and hold a ton of weight. I can't imagine they're ever going to sag. ... show more

I cannot recommend these shelves. 1. The color that arrives is NOWHERE CLOSE to what's on the website. It's 3-4 shades lighter. 2. The wood has a DISGUSTING SMELL that takes a few days to subside. You'll have to open a window wherever you assemble these. 3. There are multiple chunks out of the wood. Supposedly these go in the back of the shelf, but if this is in the middle of the room, there's no way to hide them. 4. The metal structure is very lightweight and that's not a good thing. One of the "X" supports welds also arrived broken. 5. The adjustable legs do not feel solid. You absolutely must bolt this to the wall, because the legs probably won't remain even. I simply do not have the time to disassemble and return this, buy a new shelf, and move all of my things to the new one, otherwise I would return this. ... show more

I absolutely love this bookcase. It arrived earlier than I was expecting and without any damage. It took me about an hour to put it together once I had everything arranged properly (I didn't look at the frame carefully and had 2 of the frames backwards so I had to unscrew all the shelves and turn everything around ... make sure the holes for the support brackets are all facing up so you can attach them without flipping it!). The wooden shelves are solid wood - not the pressboard garbage with a vinyl coating. It's a simple design that is exactly what I wanted. ... show more

Love these bookshelves. My husband put them together in about 40 minutes by himself with zero issues. They are completely stable with no need to tether them to the wall (I don't have small children who climb furniture, though). They are a little smelly due to the wood, but that'll dissipate in time. Thank goodness for that horrible foam that gets everywhere, because both cardboard packages came severely gouged during shipping. The wooden shelves have scratches in three spots, but nothing that detracts from the aesthetic of the shelves. They're industrial style, so it works. We would definitely purchase another set if we had the $$$ and space for it. ... show more

Took me a long time to make a decision on this and of course when I was ready to order, it was out of stock. Back to searching for one as similar as possible to no avail and suddenly it was back in stock. I didn't hesitate this time and made the purchase. So glad I did. There was a bit of a shipping issue (no fault of the Seller) with FedEx; they decided to ship part of this from NJ to Phoenix (3 hrs. away from me) and then for some crazy reason FedEx sent it from Phx to Florida and back to Arizona again. BTW, this item is shipped in two different boxes; I received the first box with the wood shelves earlier than expected and the second box was the one that was late. The Seller was quick to respond when I contacted them. It was super easy to assemble and it is a sturdy shelving unit. I really like it and is just what I had hoped it would be. Love the thickness of the shelves. The two large "U" shaped metal pieces are one piece for each side so no assembly for those which would probably weaken the unit. The "X"s that attach at each side of the shelves adds to the strength. I would like to get the double sized unit for my living room next. ... show more
