  • 5x More comfortable, 2 seconds to adjust when sharing best upgrade for your money
The media could not be loaded. Does your face hurt from the original occulus strap? This fixes that by turning the oculus into a hat. If you have ever worn a knob adjustable construction helmet that is what this is like. If you haven’t worn one then think of it as a fancy baseball cap that can be fitted to your head with the twist of a knob in literally two seconds or less. It completely removes all the facial pressure from your forehead and cheeks and allows more depth if you need to wear glasses. This is because the strap is a halo shaped ring that sits on your head like a cap. You can tighten it to hold on as tight as you like it to feel. Then you adjust the angle of the Occulus in front of your face. You get up, down, left, right, AND in &out depth adjustment. You can still seal off all light and be lost in the virtual world. More importantly It makes the head unit more comfortable, like 10x more comfortable, to the point where you will instantly say “oh wow!” It is that much better than the original strap. Once installed it becomes 10x easier to share the occulus too. You’ll be able to adjust the unit in 2 seconds or less with the simple twist of the knob on the back when handing it off to each person. If you spend a couple minutes adjusting the straps each time you share it when friends are over buy this and that is all over. Also the original straps soak up sweat and are gross, these are some kind of vinyl covered foam so they wipe clean in just a second. It takes about 1 minute to install once it arrives and is super easy to do. Watch the video on Amazon and you’ll be able to do it no problem, no matter what your skill level you don’t need to be a tech, any age group can do this. So far the quality has been very durable and it feels like it will last thousands of hours of play. Once tightened on my head it is stable and doesn’t vibrate Or shimmy and my view is really good. The only time I have to readjust is when I sweat a lot and finally that allows some movement of the ring because my head is more slippery. I found taking a quick break to towel off and retighten does the trick. Also I haven’t had a problem fogging up since I got this because it allows a microscopic air flow in without allowing light in. If there was one thing that could be improved it is the length of the strap that goes over the top of the head. It should work for most people but I have a huge, fat head so I am at its limit. Maybe another inch of length would be my suggestion to the manufacturer. Also the back of the halostrap comes with two foam pieces. One is slim one is extra wide. I’ve tried both. One is a slim standard foam that is the width of the strap and gives ok comfort and probably better for a kids head, where the larger foam might be too big. But for an adult I recommend just using the big foam piece it adds comfort and spreads the “squeeze” out onto the back of your head and adds even more comfort. It only takes a second to swap them in and out so try both see what you like best. When I ordered this my wife originally said no thanks and just kept her original strap and complained constantly about the face pressure. I convinced her to try my head unit with this strap and after one game of beat saber she said “please order one for me right away” and then asked every day when it was going to be here. It makes that big of a difference. You won’t be disappointed with this. I promise!!! ... show more

  • Really adds comfort to the Quest 2
This takes a lot of the pressure off my cheeks and eye brows where the basic strap and the elite strap put more of their pressure from squeezing the headset onto your face. Makes the Q2 feel more like my RIft S halo. This took a little bit of adjusting, but that's what the hinges are there for. Then I got it to fit nicely by floating the headset up against my face. It may take a hair off the FOV because it's not pushing into your face as hard, but not enough that I notice. One nice thing also, was that it came with 2 different pads for the back, the one pictured with the lower extension for the neck, but also the basic one that just fits on the back tightening part, like the other listings for this strap. Feels like its made sturdy enough to last for a while. Happy with it so far. ... show more

  • amazing!
The original strap for the quest 2 made it difficult to get the headset to stay at just the right level without overtightening the strap. I strapped a power bank to the back to act as a counterweight, which helped to take some of the weight off my face, but there was still quite a bit of pressure on my forehead just to keep the headset in place. Adjusting the original strap didn't allow for very precise tightening, which made the problem worse - plus it was extra annoying when switching between users - it's difficult to avoid pulling hair when adjusting the original strap. With this, the weight is distributed more on the top of the head with very little weight or pressure on the face or forehead. It's highly adjustable and very easy to quickly adjust the size with precision. ... show more

  • Great headstrap!
The product fits my Quest 2 perfectly but I struggle to find a correct configuration that matches the same quality as the strap for the Valve Index. However, this strap does well to lift the weight of the headset off your nose and make things more comfortable overall. I am able to play games comfortably with some minor adjustments needed every several minutes for more high intensity games that involve a lot of head movement. The strap also folds up nicely and makes storage easier than the standard strap. ... show more

  • Great upgrade from the original! Nice secondary back strap.
Love this Halo Strap. It helps position the weight of the headset higher on my forehead as long as I don't tighten the knob too much. If I'm playing Thrill of the Fight however, I do tighten the thing down and at that point the pressure on my face increases, but I suppose that's not the fault of this device. The only thing I didn't like was the back "plate" or "cradle" that you see in the product advertising. This did not fit well and I could always feel it on my neck which broke immersion. Luckily they include a second option which could be used for the front or back and using it on the back strap it sits nicely and doesn't move. Overall a great upgrade from the original strap which came with the Quest 2. Highly recommend! For reference I wear size 7 fitted cap (small) and I can tell if your head is large this likely will not fit as well. ... show more

  • Must have
I didn't need a head strap because I didn't have any problems with the ones the quest 2 cane with, but I eventually decided to give this a try because I wanted a strap I didn't have to adjust every time I put the headset on. I thought I didn't need a head strap but man was I wrong. This thing changed the quality of the graphics for me just by not pressing too much against my face. It's a world of a difference. I have better peripheral vision and the graphics are smoother and clearer now. I don't even care that the strap doesn't feel that much better on my head than the original, but it does feel better. ... show more
