I bought this straightener for my daughter for Christmas, because she really needed a new one after her old one died. We browsed and searched and came across this model and after reading reviews, we thought to give it a try due to most of them being positive. We absolutely hate it. I'm not sure if the straightener doesn't heat up enough or just isn't good enough for our hair, which is thicker, but it does not straighten well. I would not recommend this item.
